Hope it works out for you, wonder if it's a common issue with the R2D?

I put up a vid of an earlier run.

Scooter and I were talking, we think VA is getting enough presence to start a VA crawler club, come up with a name and start our own thread. Maybe VASRCC, Virginia Scale Radio Control Crawlers? Figured we could come up with a name then start the official thread.

I agree, and with the Axial kit and others coming, more and more people will get involved.

I was thinking VARCRC, Virginia Radio Control Rock Crawlers. Not everyone will run just scale rigs, including me, my 2.2 comp is my best performing truck right now.

I didn't mean scale as in scale looking, just scaled down from 1:1's. What about VARCOR, Virginia RC Off Roaders since it won't all be rock crawling.
It wouldn't be much of a comp rig if it wasn't your best performer!

Ok, I was thinking you meant scale looking. True on the comp rig.

I thought about the fact that it's not going to be all 'rock' crawling, so how about VARCC for VA RC Crawlers. Similar to your first name but no scale. I guess trail riding can be considered a form of crawling.

Yes indeed the big Ford did make it. But couldn't switch the batteries fast enough to film it. What did Jake think about the vid?

I wish I had a better video recorder, that's just from my digital camera so the quality sucks.

awesome vids. pony pasture looks like a good place to hold an informal comp - atleast 2 classes - 2.2 and scale...

who's custom caged ford is that?

That was Scooteracings' sons' big Ford.

We are trying to get enough guys ineterested in coming to eventually have some kind of comp, or at least a nice GTG. Next time out we are probably going to set some courses to mock run. You can definitely run both classes, we've had 2.2 comp rigs, 2.2 scale rigs, and 1.9 scale rigs out there so far and each truck can find some good lines. I think Joe used to run a clod super but things were just too easy with it.

I'm not free until the weekend of Nov 17. Damn it, hopefully I can have my 14" built by then.

Default Virginia crawlers unite!

OK, unless there are any nay sayers, Joe (Scooteracing) and I agreed on VARCOR for Virgina RC Off Roaders. I like this becaue we will be about more than just rock crawling, but rather a variety of events, including crawling, trail rides, night rides, hill climbs, etc. As well as it has flow for saying, varcor. If this is fine I'll start the official VARCOR thread under GTG's. With all the people popping up in VA we need to get a VA club going.
Plus, I just found out VARCOR.org is available, I'd like to grab it for our future site.

Nice, VA finally gets an official club thread. I like the name, I agree about the different varieties of driving. I got to thinking about it more after my last posts, and VARCOR is better, especially given the terrain we have in this state. I like to trail ride as much as rock crawl, and don't forget about mudd bogging and rootin', I'm working on a WK just for that purpose now. I still want to have a good night run, but it's hard to find places that you are allowed in after dark around here.

Start the thread already would ya

And register the site Let me know if you need any help.

Cool, well thats 3 for VARCOR. I'll go ahead and start an official thread here in a bit.
Yeah, at some point I'd like to get a VARCOR site going, maybe a forum too.
I was looking at fatcow.com and they have hosting plans for only 88 bucks a month and have forum templates.
