Default New truck in the stable

Dudes, I just bought the sickest monster truck/crawler, soon to be the sickest all out crawler in Northern Va!!! All JPS clod tubes, axles and gearcases and chassis. JPS rims with Junfac ultra trac tires, Tekin rebel 2 ESC, man I can't believe it. And you would not believe what I paid . . . . .

You got it ! It was an Ebay auction, so hopefully it will be here by Friday. As soon as it arrives I will post up some pics. I'm still moving forward on my own custom chassis clod build. Drew up the chassis plans this past week-end, just need to cut them now. I also took apart my clod axles cleaned them up and locked the diffs. Moving along . . . . .
Pics to come on that too!

New truck should be here Tuesday at the latest, so pics will be posted by mid-week. I will also post pics of my clod build and how it's coming along. Today I cut the chassis and links, tomorrow I will be shaping the chassis a little more as well as the links. I will also be cutting in the threads on the links so I can get the ball ends on and hopefully get them mounted up on the chassis . . pics to come . . . progress . . . progress

Did anyone make it out to Pony Pasture today? I had a good time down with the CRR boys. They are a good bunch of guys. Bull Hole was where we were, some real nice terrain, for all scale sizes, worth the trip.

I made it out to Pont Pasture but I left the camera at home. playing around with the dig and a different rear link setup. the dig is pretty cool but w/o the rear axle locking up I just draged my self around most of the time. so this week Im going to change the dig to lock up the rear axle.

I'm glad you had fun, hope it was worth the drive! That Land Rover looked real nice. I hope to have a 1.9 soon.

It was nice to meet you.

I was wondering what your RCC username was, forgot to ask.

I really did enjoy the comp, worth the drive. I will be going again for another one. Thanks for the comment on the D90, I was pleased that it performed like it did.
I thought you were gonna win the 2.2, sure was close. Excellent driving and nice truck. I had a couple questions about your truck and never got around to asking you when I was looking at it. Go get a 1.9, you'll love it!

It was a pleasure meeting and talking with you. You'll have to come up our way maybe some time when we get a comp going.

I'm in, get it going up there and I'll show up.
If you have any questions about the truck ask away!

Well here ya go! The long awaited pics of the Ficklen/Mill Island in Fredericksburg Virginia. It located around I-95 and 17. This is were we will be planning a hugh GTG and later a comp. This area is good for 1.9 trail rides, 2.2 scalers, 2.2 comp rigs and bring the SUPERS. There is plenty of room for all classes and plenty of large rocks.

This area will be a good central location for all the guys in northern VA and Maryland. It about an hour North from Richmond, VA. We would also like to invite everyone from anywhere.

The picture do no justice of how big and how awesome this place is.

Wow! Looks better than you described, I already see some courses. I can't believe that it is only about an hour and a half away from me. Definitely have to go up there soon.

Is this the "Moss Pit" you were telling me about? Looks challenging.

Over the summer I was crawling the VA side of Great Falls. Those were the best rocks I found in the local Nor VA area.

Hey RockMonster, where are those PICS you promised us ?!?
