Can't wait to get a tlt and get started. When are you all talking about getting to gether? That way I will know how long I got to get one. We need to scope out some good places to crawl.

Thumbs up A little while yet

I think it will be a while yet, But we do need to scope some places out. From hat I have gatthered, most of us are still building. So I would say you still have a bit. Maybe we can get some more input on when.

SO GUYS WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT WHEN WE MAY POSSIBLY GET TO DO THIS

I'm one of the unfinished. My scale rig only needs electronics and what will be my comp TLT isn't even shipped yet. Would January/February work or should we wait till warmer. I see vids of some of the other groups holding comps in the snow.

Default I would wait till warmer

I would wait till warmer weather. It will be better for the BS session, and everyone getting to know each other and meeting for the first time. I also am going to need a little time to finish my rig yet. But we will see what some of the others think. I also do have another person who is going to join the forum, He is also building a comp TLT. Thats one more and he is very stoked about a possible crawler event a Seneca Rocks. WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS

Default Lets get a little mud on the tires!

Snow would be awsome!!! I am going to make mine water proof just for the snow and the mud. Getting them a little muddy and wet would be a blast except for the cleaning up part.

lol Or rebuilding. Since I left your house I have got the front of the TXT tore down and have the mounts mapped out. Should be cutting by midnight. Who needs sleep?

As for when, anytime except the middle of March is good for me. I would prefer a Sunday but I can arrange for any day of the week.

Boys I say we crawl as soon as possible, (as soon as everyone is running ) I got my 1/6 Clod back together today, Tlt still needs parts to finish the rebuild, but other than that I am ready to go. Cold, warm, snow, anything. I am like rctraxzdriver33 my stuff will be waterproof.

Fridays or Saturdays are good for me, If we do Sunday I will have to make arrangements with work, I am on call every Sunday, so I can not go to far.

I had to pound the mud out of my tires today to bolt them back on my clod.
If there are not dirty and beat up, then they are just shelf queens. (LOL)

Hey guys I have a couple of spots that I think would be worth a scouting trip, I will try and get a few pics up and we can start narrowing down a place for our first Mountaineer Crawl. Rcnut38, Rctraxzdrive33 you guys are close to me, maybe we can do a mini get together and try these spots out.

Yeah, take lots of pics and get video if you can. Do any of you with TLTs have a torsion stick or similar minimal frame? I'm torn between one of the new designs, or the traditional plate design with 4-link. Wondering which works better in our area.

Pimp slap eh? Nice simple design. I played around with a TS design, drilled a bunch of holes for more flex. Its around here somewhere, had a 13.5" wheelbase. I'm going to run rear steer till if/when we get organized and have comps with rules. Then I guess I'll switch to front dig.
