Default '08 Devil's Lake schedule

Ben you have anything set for this year there???

It's a bit father than Taylors Falls for me, but close enough to the Dells to get it into a "family" trip.....

I will be making one or a few this year....... I also would have room for 3 more guys if anyone from MN-RCRC what to go also

Nothing really setup this year. With multiple midwest clubs in the area my club functions have kind of taken a back seat. What time are you planing to be in the area? Its worth it for a family trip, the park is fantastic. Taylors falls is way more crawl worthy though.

Yeah once the snow fades away we'll have a few runs up that way.

Just saw some of the pics of the Devil's lake area and it looks amazing. Any suggestions on good spots to run a crawler in there? If you guys do a GTG, I'd be interested. It's only about a 2 hour drive for me.

What date would interest you guys. I've been wanting to head up there myself, just the recent rainy weekends have turned me away.

There is good areas all over the trail system along the north side of the park. There isn't much for crawlable rock on the south side.

Near the beach on Tumbled rocks trail is some crazy good super class stuff. Really really challenging to make it through to much for a 2.2 to make a consitant line.

At the first parking area on your way in towards the North visitor center. Lies the best area in the park it's where we hold all of our comps.

Here are the videos from the spot.

Usually we hang around that area then once we get bored we head up the bluffs there is some really great areas on both bluffs.

Ben I could do almost anytime that don't fall on a MNRCRC comp date.....

I know we have a break coming from the 11th comp until 1st of june comp. Anytime in there will work Maybe I could draw the rest of the EC crew in for it too.. But you know how the MN guys are though :-P:-P

Hey now, I don't drive an econo box car for nothing.
The weekend of the 17th/18th works best for me.
I'd be more interested in scale running really.

Troy, lets see if we can get a group together at this comp, and see what kind of numbers we could draw on the MNRCRC side of the hoooooowwse

Scalers would be cool too. I should have the Gwag PU ready to go in the next week or so

Yeah devils lake really isn't a scalers paradise. Lots of challenging lines, not so many realistic ones. We tried to hold a scaler event there in the past and it was pretty sparse as far as flow from one obsticle to the next. However, the trails walk right along the edge of a sheer cliff. Might be cool just to trail run up the uphill trail to see if you can make the length without touching your rig. We always hold a enduro type event drive to the top.

If you guys decide on a date, I'll try to make it. It's not that far and if I pull the camper up, I can take the family along.
