| Kletch Park - Glendale - Southeast Wisconsin RC Rock Crawling Spot
Kletch Park is a Milwaukee County Park located in Glendale a few Miles north of the city of Milwaukee on the Milwaukee River. I like the spots I've found along the river for the scenery and the terrain. The spot here has a more scale appearance than some of the others I have been to. I crawled Kletch at the waterfall in the park about 1/4 mile north of Bender Rd. on the Milwaukee River Parkway that is the main road through the park. I started at the top of the river bank and took the canoe portage trail down to the river. Not too tough here as it is very wide but it is covered with wood chips and can be slippery. At the bottom things get a bit more interesting especially for a scale rig. The rocks and trail seem to suit the Toyota Land Cruiser I had with me on the day I went. There are also some nice areas that are narrow and have a bunch of roots and rocks with some good elevation change. |

Looks like it may be worth a trip up there. I'd better get my servo's waterproofed first, though.

Gee, you really get around. I have been at this park before but at the time I didn't even know about crawlers, nice park. I live north & west of there, around Brown Deer Rd & 70th st. Looks like a spot that we all could meet at. Eddy |
