Looks good! I finally got some parts that I needed to get the tuber together, so I hope to be ready by then. If not, I'll run the AX-10, but I'm not as confident in it.

I actually have a set of 4...used once. Foams are a modified starcut...good condition...actually flex well on a wheel. You can get a look at them tomorrow if you want. __________________ |

Just like to thank everyone that stopped out for the event. The weather cooperated, and the tent helped a ton in keeping us cool. Overall the event went well; everyone was able to complete the 2 courses. Eliminating the total max point rule didn't work out too bad either. The ARTR's were out in force, 3 total. Check the final results RCCrawler user ID or Name / Course 1 / Course 2 / Total OICU812 / -2 / 42 / 40 Guardrail / -2 / 57 / 55 Schmenzer / 11 / 51 / 62 Slick / 7 / 60 / 67 Wade / 21 / 65 / 86 Xirtic / 52 / 34 / 86 Jodi / 18 / 82 / 100 Xirtic had a tough 1st course with the droop setup, but spaked everyone on the 2nd course with some killer driving!!! The 2nd course was tough!!! Some eye candy! Last edited by slick; 08-03-2008 at 10:11 PM. |

Also, we are looking to do another comp on the 16th or the 17th of this month. We are leaning toward the 17th, but if more people like Saturdays speak up. Thanks again for all that showed up! |

Thanks for hosting this event. Took a little getting used to this different (than I am used to) surface. The tent was VERY helpful in keeping the course area cool....it just made for a great afternoon. I am certain that my next go at this surface will show an improvement. I need to get to the office to verify scheduling, but I would like to attend the next one. I will PM with my RSVP once work has their say....and the wife has hers. | |

Wish I could have made it this time, but neither of my rigs were ready to go. Anyway, I'd prefer a Saturday if possible. Not sure what everyone else thinks, though.

The event was my first competition and I had a blast. Thanks for hosting. I am looking forward to more comps and am usually open either weekend day I just need enough advanced notice to plan. I'd like to plan for 3 courses if possible. I saw some sick lines in that pile! |

My body took a beating....and I think that I cracked a tooth in my front gear. Repairs are 1/2 the fun....gives an excuse to UPGRADE parts. HD Gears are coming (I had 1 set laying around....so I ordered a 2nd to do both axles.) New JConcepts Crawler Body - I am thinking candy purple backed with silver. I really dig the candy colors with the silver....gives a cool metallic look to the body. I am hoping that I can have it done for the next comp (Saturday with SCRC @ Busse Woods in Schaumburg). Also gonna counter sink those front C screws...squeeze some more steering out of that front end. A Hitec HS-5995TG servo is gonna assist as well. See....FUN!! | I have the 5995TG and love it. I read a few post that say you need to run it on a BEC, but the Tekin FXR did great with only a 3A BEC. I do have spare hardware after buying from McMaster. The min buy on stainless was 50... I'll throw a list together later tonight of what I have if you interested. I'll was thinking of throwing some "stage 2" bolt kits together for the comp but ran out of time. Last edited by slick; 08-04-2008 at 08:17 PM. |

Luckily my Novak Goat has a 6v BEC built in.....no worries on power. Been running a 200oz Cirrus Servo.....it is just not quite strong enough with all the weight of my rig when it is resting on it's front wheels and needs to "shimmy".

I'm happy the event turned out good. We stayed a few hours after you 2 left and kicked around new course ideas. Were shooting to get two separate courses for 2 groups, helps compress time. Then a group 3rd run for the final. It seemed to work out well running lowest points first in the second course. We also going to add some new textures to the course, some more wood is a definite! Keep the positive input comming!!! |

It's nice to see that you guys had a good time & the pic's are great. I had wanted to show up, but I had to work that day. As far as the next event, I have to work on Sat. but have Sun. off. I have an AX-10 and have been trying to iron out things at a slow pace so that I can see what each change gives me, but I have never run with anyone so I don't really know what my rig should do. Hope to make it the next time. |

I might not have a crawler totally finished but I'd stop by and lend a hand. Congrats to all the competitors. Later Goz

Looks like Sunday the 17th will be the date for the comp. I wanted to goto the comp in Il at Busse this Saturday, but things are not going to work out for me. A few of us are going to the pile for a while on Saturday around 1pm, and we'll be there till about 5pm. If anyone wants to stop out, feel free. The thought is to move some rock, and work out some new lines. |
