If it doesn't crawl good, I'll just "frog stomp" it like Old Spices kid did ![]() ![]() Did your tires come with 2 stage foams? This set did, but my first ones didn't. |

That would explain why these tires look bigger. Better foams to fill them up ![]() I just got a package from my Canadian Blizzard parts connection, everything I need to convert my SR over from wimpy dual 370/380 motors to a single 540 ![]() The back-ordered RPM light bar came also. You'll have to share your secrets on how to do it up "Super style". |

| ![]() Cool. With that front axle kicked out front like it is, all you'd need is some scale tractor weight plates and chevron tires and it'd look like the pulling trucks they'd run at tractor pulls. (IIRC, it was "Orange Crush" running back in the late 70's, maybe early 80's.)

I was a little busy myself today. I made the Axial gear cover work on the RC4WD 2 speed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Great idea! Did you have to modify it much?

Yes! I had to cut the 3 spacers off and sand the back down till I got to it down to the ribbing in the back. Then I had to drill a new hole put some washers under it and I had to elongate another hole. Get longer bolts and use nuts that I cut off and ground down so it wouldn't hit the back of the slipper clutch. Yeah, it bolted right on. ![]() I have some Junfac drive shafts coming, I hope I don't have to mod those too much. Last edited by Super; 01-27-2013 at 09:37 AM. |

Hmmmm, I may have to wait on that project. I have alot of other stuff to do first. You might have to shorten one half of those driveshafts, since the 2 speed trans is longer than stock. Be sure to Loc-tite the crap out of her, mine came apart and I lost the little swivel pieces ![]() |

I'm hoping it's not too hard to cut. ![]() |

I went and put my short screws in the pin barrel, and was left with longer screws for the collars that go on the trans outputs and axle inputs. The screws where the flats are fit fine, but the screws for the opposite side of the collar are now too long. By the time I figured that out, I already had the tiny, short screws I needed locked into the pin barrels, and I'm pretty sure I'll destroy them trying to get them out. So, very likely they'll stay like they are. Of course, never missing an opportunity to make a bad decision, I noticed once I had everything installed and waiting for the Loc-Tite to set....... Yep, had the right axle ends on the trans, but had the other ends of the drive shafts on the wrong axles. And no, the two are not interchangeable. I SO wanted such to be the case, but no. On the upside, the front axle input has the pin/screw with a hole in the pinion shaft. The OD gear set came with a pin/screw which fits just fine in the JunFac barrel. Just look before you leap, my friend. | |

I very rarely loc-tite stuff but it usually is together and apart several times before I take it out. I might have to Pay attention on that one.
