Komodo build pics. Waiting on the Voodoo KLR's and an 8 led light set to arrive. The body has 22 spots for lights, 16 in front. I just need to pick a color .

I'm getting the Blue Compound KLR's, they come with an "extreme traction" warning....we'll see.

Compound information from manufacturer:
Blue Compound: THIS IS NOT A RACING COMPOUND! This is, however, a great crawling compound, expect BIG traction in the rocks. This compound is also recommended for heavier than average trucks. (to prevent damage to your truck a certain amount of caution must be exercised when running this compound. The traction profile of this rubber can cause "too much traction" at times, which can put a fair amount of stress on various parts of the truck)

Funny shit, Bob's got one on the shelf at HT with a big sign that says "Free light kit"........after commenting on my FB post that they aren't free cuz everyone gets one! I guess the RPP $30 off coupon wasn't free either. Putz.

While waiting for my upgrade Komodo parts to make their world tour I found something for my AR60 MT project. One more thing to keep me busy this winter.

Ended the year with in excess of 100 hrs of PTO, was able to hide/take most of it, but still had to cash in 56 hrs. And I know I'm not the only one who had to do so. (though I doubt anyone had anywhere near as many hours to cash in as me) So, ya know, if that tells ya how difficult it's gotten to get away and go run these things.......

I think the last time I seen Super and TrailDawg was, what, '10? '11?
Since then,

The Scorpion (shafty) is now wearing a Poison Dart chassis, with a 'XR modded' front axle. It's lookin' pretty sharp, and I think I got all the bugs worked out of it.

The CUCV hasn't been out since that one time I got some pics by the retention pond at work. Far as I know, the LEDs are still refusing to stay in the front crossmember, and are constantly getting pushed out and dragging. Gettin' kinda sick of gluing them every time I touch that truck.

Built an XR. I think the crawler itself is done, just need to paint the body. The build thread on that hasn't been updated in nearly a year.

And I built JUNKFOOT specifically for running gtg's. Had to re-power it recently, as I won a Holmes Stubby sensored brushless motor in a giveaway. The body for that is out on the east coast getting painted. Still need to figure out what to do about bumpers, but can't do much until the body gets back. Don't know if I'm going to find someone to weld up my pseudo-quasi snowplow frame, or if I'm going to move the ridiculously heavy rear bumper to the front and do a 'push bumper' popular on mid-70's tow trucks.

And, spent the last 5 days or so glued to threads on the BrazinScale RC Hi/Lo chassis, the ToyZuki's angled skid scx10 chassis, and the ToyZuki's Fabrication Low Center of Gravity Motor Mount. Ultimately decided the nickel and diming of piecing together axles, trans(es), and link mounts was a bridge too far, for a build I really don't need to do. Thought about just getting a stock SCX for the wife to run while I run JUNKFOOT, but knowing me, 'thinking about it' is probably as far as I'll get with that.

In other news, I built some tables in the basement, similar to what we ran on at Hobbytown. I just got the tables built, no terrain on top of them. That project also stalled out, now the only "course" I have on there is a pair of pallets propped up against each other, and various lengths of 2x4 scraps to serve as my 'boulders'.

Even on Facebook, I'm more of a spectator than anything else. I spend a majority of my time on there clicking the "I don't want to see this" button.

So, that's all I've accomplished in the last 5 or 6 years.
