New build 10.3. Painting was done by Matt Bauer. Have only had it out once and didn't take a single picture. Was too busy fixing and building the trail for the GTC comp

Rock Pirates Interceptor build. The donor was an SCX10-2 with Vanquish axles. Test and tune, tire break-in and picture day.

Tires are fresh, so traction was so-so.The G8 compound is nice, though. It also needs high clearance links to take full advantage of the chassis setup. The back end feels kinda light, but further tuning might be needed. I may change to softer springs in the rear. All in all, a fun conversion and a different look. Poppy's and a warm fall day were calling me.

No worries, the rocks aren't going anywhere.

Hardcore RC high clearance S.S. links are ordered, along with some U.D. gears for the rear. Still running the RTR stock ESC and motor for now, so it could use some Holmes Hobbies love. Might not get too many more nice days to play this year though.

A quick little run with Bandit to test out the JConcepts 1.9 Tusks. Stock foams are pretty soft as expected but the tires did well.

$40 Amazon beadlocks with brass hub extensions lookin' good. I didn't notice how narrow the offset was till they were on. Tail light lenses and light kit installed. Next mod will be longer rod ends in front to get the tires out of the fenders at full lock. Selectable OD servo is in, still have to install one for dig (just for the hell of it). The RTR comes with that option so why not?
