What do ya mean no clowns? The whole FVRCC circus will be there

I guess I could fire up the camp stove and make ya some instant coffee, the redneck RV ain't got no coffee maker. I might be feeling generous and bring the dognuts. It is the breakfast of champions you know.

They're talkin' 45 degrees for a high, so bundle up kids. Super, don't forget your gloves this time .

The latest weather report looks like a chance of flurries but no deep snow so we can crawl instead of slide. We can have two or three guys setting up the courses, I have found it to be a little gooder having input from a couple of sources. And then there is more than 1 to blame when a section in impassable or impossible...... I am looking forward to a point series comp and I have made a couple minor adjustments to the skunk bug.....

I'm in for the comp, and also to help with the course building. It's been too long since the last run at the Islands, and I'm anxious to try out the DX3R (besides in my living room!). I've done some tweaking on the Diablo to free up the lower links, hope it helps .

I will be bringing the T-shirts to the comp on Sunday, so remember your money. They are $18.00 each, also the comp entry fee is $5.00. I have shirts for Super (XL), Mom (L), Rock Monster (S), Jessi (XXL), and Josh (XXL). I have 2 XL's and 1 XXL that are still available. Temps on sunday look like low to mid 40's so we should be able to make a good run at it.

Third comp down, good weather for an outdoor comp in november. The winning order follows, I did review all the math and made a couple minor corrections but there were not many position changes.

1st Kasper -1/-2/-3
2nd Cheerleader 5/1/1
3rd T-buck 13/-3/2
4th Traildog362 8/-3/14
5th Super 16/-3/8
6th Thatch 40/-5/6
7th Stinkyy 27/-5/29
8th OldSpice 32/20/1
9th Theslowguy 40/18/-4
10th R/CMaxximus5.0 25/0/34

The courses turned out to be much harder than it looked, I hope a good time was had by all involved.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Second Comp Complete, a little on the chilly side but no snow so all is good. Finishing order is as follows;

1st Stinkyy 14/1/13
2nd Kasper 10/16/14 dnf
3rd Traildog362 14/28 dnf /16
4th R/CMaxximus5.0 30/40 dnf /14
5th Super 25/40 dnf/21
6th T-Buck 15 dnf/36/20 dnf
7th Theslowguy 40 dnf/40dnf/4
8th Mom 22 dnf/ 40 dnf/40 dnf
9th Rock Monster 31 dnf/40 dnf /40dnf
10th John 36 dnf/40 dnf/ 40 dnf
11th Cheer leader 40 dnf/40 dnf/ 40 dnf
12th Matt 40 dnf/ 40 dnf/ 50 dns

I do not plan on listing overall standings due to the series being best 8 of 10. I really don't know how to list it if we do not all have the same number of comps completed. Any ideas let me know.

I think everyone learned something about their truck and driving style along with the style of others. What was great is no one totally gave up even when the run was going down the toilet. Super set the bar pretty high this time but remember your placement in this comp is you total score for today so if you were near the bottom a first place next time can move you way up in the standings. Just like a crappy day for super can move him way down, also remember this will be a best of 10 series so a couple low end finishes can be thrown out at the end.

I have attached a link to a photobucket slide show of todays event.

We all have good and bad days, the up side is being best 8 of 10 as long as we make all of the comps we can throw 2 out. My showing was less than stellar too, all we can hope for is bad luck to Kasper!!!

Man, if I could just get rid of my stupid mistakes I could fight in the top three. Excellent day and a great time!

everyone has there good days last year i barely could get better the 7th out of 7 after two years i finally got a win i sure hope it dont take 2 more years remember there is two throw outs if you make all ten events so as it sits now there is a real close battle.
Picked up a few door prizes for year end awards and several gift certifacates to be given away at each comp for northern hobbys its looking like everyone will get one before the end of the year.$20.00 value

I hear that! Inexperience (or noob-ish excitement?) caused me to hit a gate marker when I should have taken a backup penalty and taken a second try at clearing it. There's alot more strategy in crawling than I first thought. Those "top three" guys will be tough to beat, but now we all have something to shoot for .
