I've never seen anyone "tune" their rig like that ...I think I'll stick with the old school method.

I'm already looking forward to the next meet, I wish they could all be outdoors .

I noticed that April and May's events are in the lower lounge. If we get some decent weather, would it be possible to hold those comps outdoors? Maybe it's wishful thinking, but it might be nice/dry enough. Any thoughts on this?

It states all dates weather permitting, so we can move indoor dates out or the other way as needed.

If I can rig up a linkage to run my dig, I'll try to head up there. Also have to clear that with the family schedule.

Tomorrow is the day, show time is at 11:30 comp starts @ 12:00. $5 entry fee as always, and if a couple of competors can arrive a little early to set up a course or two that would be cool. Speaking of cool, good thing we have a member like Kasper to provide the indoor crawling enviorment. See you guys tomorrow and do real crappy, it makes me look better than I am.

First some links to a slide show or two and a couple of short videos. There may be some off color words used in the making of the vids. If you are sensitive to truck driver talk don't click the link.

3rd T-buck 13/-3/2
4th Traildog362 8/-3/14

The courses turned out to be much harder than it looked, I hope a good time was had by all involved.

Second Comp Complete, a little on the chilly side but no snow so all is good. Finishing order is as follows;

1st Stinkyy 14/1/13
2nd Kasper 10/16/14 dnf
3rd Traildog362 14/28 dnf /16
4th R/CMaxximus5.0 30/40 dnf /14
5th Super 25/40 dnf/21
6th T-Buck 15 dnf/36/20 dnf
7th Theslowguy 40 dnf/40dnf/4
8th Mom 22 dnf/ 40 dnf/40 dnf
9th Rock Monster 31 dnf/40 dnf /40dnf
10th John 36 dnf/40 dnf/ 40 dnf
11th Cheer leader 40 dnf/40 dnf/ 40 dnf
12th Matt 40 dnf/ 40 dnf/ 50 dns

I do not plan on listing overall standings due to the series being best 8 of 10. I really don't know how to list it if we do not all have the same number of comps completed. Any ideas let me know.

I think everyone learned something about their truck and driving style along with the style of others. What was great is no one totally gave up even when the run was going down the toilet. Super set the bar pretty high this time but remember your placement in this comp is you total score for today so if you were near the bottom a first place next time can move you way up in the standings. Just like a crappy day for super can move him way down, also remember this will be a best of 10 series so a couple low end finishes can be thrown out at the end.

I have attached a link to a photobucket slide show of todays event.

Attached is a link to the rules. http://www.usrcca.com/usrcca_rules_2...-09-master.pdf

EVERYONE!!! needs to review the rules because from the next comp on we will no longer be bending or twisting the rules as we have in the past. The standings are close and every point or gate or backup can make a big difference and I think tighter the rules the better we will all become. I plan on having copies of the rules available at each comp and at the tuesday night runs at kaspers so we can discuss and iron out any gray areas. If you have any questions contact myself, Kasper or any other FVRCC member and we will come up with the best answer.

Thanks...

I have plans to cook up some food for this event if anyone is interested let me know if you plan to eat some vitals crawdad pie or what is your taste preference.

When the Hobbytown course is complete a comp from my place will be moved to hobbytown possably two comps what are your thoughts on this.

Read the USRCCA RULES all rules will be inforced from the January 3rd comp till the end of the season.

Comp #5 Sunday 3 Jan 2010 @ Kaspers. Show time / drivers meeting is at 11:30 AM, Comp to start around 12:00. As always, $5.00 entry fee to be paid at registration. Drivers meeting and inspection will include a wheel base and body measurement for all vehicles.

I picked up some brats and buns, so if you do not eat before the comp I will be cooking them up for a nominal fee of $1.00 ( I would like to recoup some of the money Kasper and I put into the events)

Hope you all can make it, see you sunday...
