Default Fox Valley Crawl spots...

Alright here are few spots in the Valley I've found...feel free to add.

1. High Cliff State Park, tons of spots. there is a AWESOME rockwall behind the a bunch of the campsites...so if you camp bring your crawler!

2. Behind the Stone Toad Bar & Grill on Oneida st.(Menasha) There is a retention pond behind it, go to the spot with the big rocks. Broke a few things here-

3. Sunset park in Kimberly-I need to get there

4. By Chase bank & Wal-Mart near 441 & behind Wal-Mart (Appleton)- lots of spots around-need to try them yet though

5.Industrial park area by OO & 441 (Appleton)-by the retention pond, I know Josh(theSLOWguy) has been there-so Josh leave some feedback....

6. 1000 islands in Kaukauna-AWESOME SPOT as long as the water is low-or it doesn't start pouring rain!
Lets KEEP THIS LIST GOING

What!? You markin on my turf? Ok I see how it is!:-P The Industrial park by OO is sweet. All sizes or rocks, from thumb-sized to a couple hundred polunds. Its all limestone type stuff. Sunset park is all big craggy stuff. Easy to get hung up and REALLY easy to fall into hles and break stuff. BUT its really cool because it has a small stream going down the center of it so there is a perfect water hazard.

Last weekend I spent 2 full days at the 1000 Islands center in Kaukauna. The water is really low so you can go from the dam all the way down to the bend where ZZ ends. I spent an honest 12 hours crawling in two days and covered not even half. Great for every truck, minis to supers. You gotta get there now while the water is low. I think I might go back this weekend if I have time.
I have some pix on my profile, check em out!

Hey guys, any chance of setting up an informal get together run some weekend? I'm getting kinda bored running at High Cliff by myself. I'd like to check out some of the areas mentioned. I've got a couple of trail trucks that do alright for mild to medium type rock crawling, so I could probably keep up with you. Might be fun, let me know.

Troy.

As of right now, I have no plans for this weekend so I'm up for a gtg somewhere in the Fox Valley area. I'm curious about the 1,000 Islands idea, I never really checked it out for an rc run. Been past it a million times though. Still waiting on my PL scale shocks to arrive for my backup trail rig, but the SCX-10 is ready to roll!

I'll probably go too, if it's not too wet. Sundays usually work best for me, but Saturday afternoons are OK too. Friday I'll take a ride down there and scope it out and let you guys know how wet it is.

Took a ride to 1000 Islands today and it's not too bad. The area where we crossed the last time is wet but not impassable, I was back there in my regular shoes and didn't get a wet foot. Looks good.

Where do you guys go in (or start) at? I'm not familiar with the layout. Do you have a usual meeting spot?

Troy
