Where is this area located?

Super 09-06-2009 08:39 PM

It's behind the ball diamonds at the 1000 islands nature center in Kaukauna.

dirtyal 09-06-2009 08:46 PM

Only 4 hrs from my place:mrgreen:

Super 09-06-2009 08:51 PM

WELL WORTH THE TRIP! You need at least 2 full days to explore the whole thing. IT'S INCREDIBLE! You can't crawl it all in a weekend.

dirtyal 09-06-2009 09:00 PM

Likewise if your ever on the west side of the state"thumbsup"
Been going here for 2 years and still haven't crawled everything.

It's now on my list of places to crawl! Looks awesome!"thumbsup"

Super 09-06-2009 09:20 PM

Was that video at Taylor's Falls or in that area?

dirtyal 09-06-2009 09:22 PM

Yep taylors falls. I live close to the border so I crawl with the MN crew"thumbsup"

TrailDawg362 09-06-2009 09:31 PM

The pictures above are just the "play" area, the real stuff was too wet to get to that day. There are so many rocky areas to crawl, it almost makes your head spin "thumbsup".

wow that place is huge. i am looking at a map of the 1000 island environmental center on google maps and its really large. how often do you guys have comps? you could have endless comps there cause of the shear size

newbie8324 09-19-2009 01:26 PM

the water level should be way down cause of the lack of rain.

TrailDawg362 09-19-2009 02:45 PM

The water level is down, just got back from there minutes ago. You'd have to check the FVRCC listing for comps and locations, but we all go there for fun runs too! Today I worked on my river crossing skills, just for grins .

How I do love to play in da water!

Yes, I love the water too:mrgreen:

1000 islands can be unpredictable though-Kasper and I went there on Thurs. and the water was higher than I've ever seen it! To get to the good spots, usually there is only a few inches of water, thurs it was more like a foot+.:-(

kasper 09-19-2009 09:59 PM

anyone want to head out there on sunday let me know
