Horizon Hobby Service Center just sent me an e-mail about the 2 rx's and radio I sent in for repairs. The Spektrum recievers will be replaced for free, and the DX3R radio will be exchanged for a "like new" dealer-returned unit for $30 plus shipping. Not bad for about $400 worth of broken stuff!

$12 to ship it there, $41 to repair/return shipping. Still not too shabby, should be here Monday .

Did you guys get hit by the storm there? I was "in the dark" after the storm till about 1PM the next day .

The UPS man made my day by showing up early with a new DX3R (still has the protective film over the screen and badges!) and 2 rx's . The invoice said "in the spirit of good customer service, the recievers were replaced free of charge." I thought that was pretty cool, considering I'm the one that F'ed them up!

Scored a brand new Sidewinder SV1 for $30 shipped in the for sale section here, and rounded up 3 to send back to Castle. They might just replace them (for a discounted fee) with the new SV3 waterproof versions. Not sure if they're any better than the SV2 which was an epic fail. Guess I'll find out.

Sadly, WiRCRC no longer exsists. There are just a few of us who get together and run our scale/trail rigs for fun. Stay tuned for the next outing .

Well I ordered a HH esc, 35t motor and under drive gears and some universal axels from TCS $156. Not too bad, I think.

A new project or upgrade to the exsisting fleet? CVD's are on my short list (if/when the budget allows ).

I'm hoping for a new project.

All I gotta do is figure out what I want to build.
