Yeah, when I got mine last summer they had gone up but since I ordered that early spring I got the cheeper price. Just have to figure out what is what on Broods site.

I don't know if I can justify spending more than 40 on a motor but when funding is available I would love to get a real nice motor

Broods are $35.... Pretty good price for what you get and the customer service is pretty good too from what I've seen.

It was more scale looking than the SCX-10, but couldn't come close to outperforming or outlasting the Axial trucks. I was gonna part it out, but I might bring it back to life at some point.

It's pretty good for a scale truck. Those dif gears I think need to be shimmed properly from what I was seeing today sometimes RC4WD has "loose' tolerances.

Anyone considering the G-Made Sawback? I know it's probably a step down from the TF-2 (lexan body, no 2 speed or T-case) but for some reason it's starting to grow on me . Not sure if I want another "leafer" though. Maybe I'll just have to bite the bullet and drop the $109 on a new Yota body to get the "Trail Loser" up and running again....either way it's gonna be a money pit!

I keep thinking about a leafer but if I did it would prolly be the TF2. Sawback is ok but like you said , lexan body and no 2 speed. We'll see what happens next fall.

I guess the TF wasn't really too bad. Truth is, I was [U]not[U] very nice to it, as in not driving it in a scale way. I do like the detailed body and lights....maybe I can do the mods needed to make it perform more to my liking.

You need to bite the bullet and buy a body for that thing.

I didn't have any issues but I used the Castle One cell esc at the comps in hobbytown Oshkosh and a lot around home, I'm still running the setup in my scx10 and its been swimming three time now
