If you power your rx at 7.2v from the bec and plug your servo in as normal, you'll be fine. I did that on my comp rig. If you have leds hooked up, you'll need to drop the voltage running to them so they don'y fry. Even at 6 volts, you'll get better results with a bec, it's a more regulated power source so it doesn't "brown out".

EDIT* You could push the voltage higher, but more volts equals more heat. That lil servo motor will get hot!

My new TF body is sitting at the post office, and I don't even have the ambition to go and get it today

I managed to (somewhat) straighten out the old one after the paint stripper warped it to hell. I held it over the stove and got the roof popped out but the hood is hopeless.

I'm thinking of trying to recycle it into a beater body, so I don't trash the new one so quickly. Might try to bob the bed cuz I like the looks of that .

RPP has the HD gears in stock . With those, it just might survive the summer!

Did you notice any difference with your servo and bec compared to without one? I'm assuming you have a Castle link for programming. If your servo is rated for 7.2 or more, you'll see alot more torque and speed out of it at that voltage.

Corporate, Holmes hobbies has an adapter to do exactly what you were talking about. Power from battery to the bec then servo then signal only to the receiver. Do not have to remove power wire from esc that way

Any new updates from the Super/Rock Monster garage? I remember hearing something about a new Dingo lid. How about that killer panel truck?
