I'd go 35t and 3s lipo, so you get the low speed control, but still have some good wheelspeed to mess around with. I'm running the CC 5700 in my Honcho and it's fun, but when things get technical, I don't have the smooth start that I need.

Default Venom Creeper

I just bought a Venom Creeper to replace my Fail King . Now comes the fun part of putting it together. I now need some advice on the motor/esc/battery setup. This project will take me a bit to put together, so all advice will be read. Thanks in advance and may your crawling days be excellent!

It depends on what ur looking to spend.

Budget wise, Castle sidewinder, 45t motor, towerpro mg995 or PowerHD HD1501MG, 2s or 3s lipo.

3s lipo will give you more wheel speen when u need it without having to gear as high.

Sidewinder will run you about 65-75, towerpro is $10.40 shipped( slow boat from china), PowerHD is about $22 shipped and motor is about $20+ depending on the brand. Lipos can be had for about $10 shipped from china. But I say, just spend the extra on one and get a USA based brand lie thunder power or SPc.com lipos.

HMMMMMMMM

Ordered a bucnh of stuff from mcmasters.

5 ft of black delrim 5/16 rod. its solid core.

Also an alum plate so I can make my cutsom trail truck chassis.

And a ton of hardware. I ordered Stainless but one guy was telling me I should have gotten the black oxide stuff.

I dont know if I should send the SS back and order the lack oxide or just eep the ss.

Sometimes the cheaper grade of SS is softer than the steel black oxide stuff, but unless you're really gonna crank on 'em you should be OK. I get my SS hardware from Grainger, still way cheaper than the LHS.

Where did you get the lockers from? I found the cvd's in a couple of places, just not the lockers.

Wash the body with dish soap and water, rinse well and dry. Make sure all window masks or tape is sealed at the edges. Warm up the rattle can in hot water from the tap (increases pressure in the can ), Go with several light coats, allowing dry time inbetween. Most importantly, have PATIENCE! Back your main color with white or silver. Peel and enjoy.
