I had an idea in mind, but the trans and battery location would be a problem. I'll have to take a closer look at yours or Old Spice's. I was thinking rock racer with interior since I have most of the stuff to do it.

I think you can do it, you'll just have to get creative.

It looks like these tubers might be discontinued, think I'll order one soon. Still chipping away at the other project trucks and waiting on parts.

Super, your motor is done (finally ). The comm was grooved pretty deep, so I couldn't get it perfect without taking too much off it. Brushes were re-serrated, motor lubed and broken in .

The lights, which are freakin' awesome for $15, are going on the Honch-erado. The bumper looks best on the CGR Blazer along with the steel winch line and hook.

Stupid me...I forgot that I can't run a winch and a dig on the same rig with only a 3 channel radio. Now what?

has anyone used the r2 tranny from rc4wd in an scx10 was wondering because of the interior im going to make just may be easier to build without the huge spur gear of the stock axial tranny.

I've never used one but from what I've heard they're noisey and not all that durable. The upside is the size. The alternative would be to go with a gear reduction unit (bolted to the motor) and a transfer case. I've looked into that setup, but it's a bit pricey . I've heard of people using an Axial trans upfront and a second trans without a spur/motor plate as a T-case. A driveshaft connects the output of the front trans to the top shaft of second one.

I have a r2d in my gateking. It has held up very well for me for several years now and I bought it used. It definitely is noiser than the ax10 gearbox, but very similar to the xr10 gearboxes.

hey guys thanks for the feedback, i was looking around at some threads and seen a couple where guys have turned the tranny around to where the spur was facing the front rather than the rear from the looks of things it seems to help with interior issues but was wondering if i do that will it change the gear ratio at all or no.any help would be great thanks for the help so far guys.

Forward or backwards wont matter on a single speed transmission, mine is backwards in my AX10.

It sounds like it's trying to center itself when at rest. You could try resetting the trim/sub-trim on the radio.

It might be picking up some electrical interference from your system. Try rerouting some wires or components, see if that helps. It won't hurt the servo if it twitches, but finding the cause would be good. If all else fails try a spare servo to see if it does the same thing.

If it's an older servo with a few miles on it they will tend to do that too.
