Towards the end of the Fonferek run rhe motor in the swamp buggy (tuber) was cutting out and acting strange. When I pulled it apart, the brushes were worn down to about 3/16ths of an inch  . Pulled some good ones out of a cheapie 19T, cleaned the comm and a shot of lube, should be good for awhile. Put some 40W oil in the shocks, outboarded them at the axle and chassis, mirrored the trans.... I think it'll be more dialed in now .

Waiting on Kasper and Old Spice... So I get a knock on the door this morning, it's the Grand Chute P.D. After answering a bunch of questions, turns out I'm getting a citation for driving off without paying for gas...WTF??? I always pay at the pump, which won't work unless your card is approved. Now I have to get a CC statement to prove I paid  . I hope the rest of the day goes better.

Hey All, Just wanted to introduce myself, been poking around for a bit and was looking at some pics of the Oshkosh Hobby Town and the indoor crawler set up. My name is Mike and was wondering if there is a summer schedule of comps there? I'm fairly new to crawling but sure have the bug and I have family in and around the Fond Du Lac area. So I get up there quite a bit and am really hoping to hook up and do some crawling in conjunction with one of my trips!! I don't have any scale rigs just doing comps right now, 1.9 and 2.2. Got a service buddy that lives in Appleton as well. I saw the fall and winter comp schedule on your forum and wondered if there was a posting with any upcoming comps this summer. I got hooked up with a great bunch of guys here in Ia. They have there own website, IaROCK.org I've also attended a few comps in Omaha Neb, great bunch of guys there as well. Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and if anyone has any info on comps this summer in your area I'd love to get in one. Thanks Mike |
