Kasper is still computer-less, and he has not been to the shop since monday so he knows nothing of the high cliff trip. He would prolly like to be included in your outing.

Nice! Mine is still just a roller till I can sling some paint on her. If you enjoy building kits you should love it. I'm still debating on what color, and possible tire changes. The 1.55's are kinda small-ish. Over all, it's a pretty impressive kit .

I'm voting for a medium to darker blue for the hood and roof (think: out of the bottle Fascolor blue), and the remainder in a light almost pastel blue.

Something like this:

I'm kickin' around not volunteering for overtime this friday, and making a run out to Hobbytown to get a crawling fix. Anyone know when they're moving the slot car track, and if the crawler course will be in any shape to be run on friday?

On an extremely loosely related note. The wife threw down the challenge once again to build a more proper course for running in the basement. I've sifted through over a dozen pages in this thread, but is there a 'build thread' showing how the Hobbytown course was made?

I wasn't involved in the build, but I know there is either a build thread or a picture thread yuo may have to wait for one of the builders to chime in. Chuck

Equal parts of concrete and sand layed over wooden supports, chicken wire and wet burlap for adhesion.

As for the crawler course, the slotcar track is gone, and a new carpet racetrack is planned for that space. Rumor has it that we'll be asked to move to the non-carpeted area to make room. What a surprise .

i have a meeting with bob when he gets back from his trip next week, the couse is sill in the same spot, so your more then welcome to use it. as for where it will be moved to is still in the works, the plan right now is to get rid of the shelfs and all the crap in the corner and move it to that area. i took a tape to the area and it looks like you will be able to run 4 or maby 5 units wide and 10 long, i feel that it will be a bigger area then you had before when both slot tracks were there.

if you have any questions or coments i would like to hear them, that way i can bring them up in my meeting with bob. i know you guys are not happy about the move but this could be good for you guys.

my email is JCRCRacing@gmail,com

thanks josh

As long as the red wire from your batter gets connected to BOTH of the + posts on both ESC's, (and the battery's black to both - posts) you should be golden. The easiest way depends on if you can/want to solder, or if you just want money to fix it. If you'd rather just pony up a couple bucks, you can go to cheapbatterypacks.com where you can order up an adapter. Just order up a parallel harness w/ one male end (to go into the batt) and two female ends (to go to the ESC's). Done. While you're there, for $5 they sell an adapter to plug your BEC into, which then plugs into the servo and receiver, so the BEC powers only the servo. Plug and play, and $5 takes a lot of hassle out of the game.

The input on the BEC gets connected to the main battery pack. It's up to you if you wnat to do so at the connector or at one of the posts on an ESC, so long as it's connecting to the main pack, and not getting it's feed from the ESC's internal BEC. If I were you, I'd run the BEC's output into the receiver, pull both red wires from both ESC receiver plugs, and let the BEC power the receiver and servo. If you order the handy-dandy $5 servo harness I mentioned above, you need to leave ONE (and only one) red wire in so the receiver gets power from an ESC. (But really, pull both reds, run the BEC into the receiver. SO much less copper spaghetti.)

I've had the same idea. Suppose first step'd be where to find tires, the rest can be fabbed.
