If you'd rather just pony up a couple bucks, you can go to cheapbatterypacks.com where you can order up an adapter. Just order up a parallel harness w/ one male end (to go into the batt) and two female ends (to go to the ESC's). Done. While you're there, for $5 they sell an adapter to plug your BEC into, which then plugs into the servo and receiver, so the BEC powers only the servo. Plug and play, and $5 takes a lot of hassle out of the game.

The input on the BEC gets connected to the main battery pack. It's up to you if you wnat to do so at the connector or at one of the posts on an ESC, so long as it's connecting to the main pack, and not getting it's feed from the ESC's internal BEC. If I were you, I'd run the BEC's output into the receiver, pull both red wires from both ESC receiver plugs, and let the BEC power the receiver and servo. If you order the handy-dandy $5 servo harness I mentioned above, you need to leave ONE (and only one) red wire in so the receiver gets power from an ESC. (But really, pull both reds, run the BEC into the receiver. SO much less copper spaghetti.)

I've had the same idea. Suppose first step'd be where to find tires, the rest can be fabbed.
thanks for the help and for the swamp buggy I was looking at the wheely king as a staring point the frame and wheels look close to start with

JCRC, post up that diagram you sent me on the layout. Maybe some other club members have an idea or two to throw out.

I feel "special" now!

Wish the TF2 was done, just sitting in flat black primer now . I'll bring it along for show and tell.

So where are we off to next week? If nothing else, I may head out to RG with some racing buddies and give them some wheel time on one of my rigs.

Just for grins, check out Skullking's Rustbucket TF2 thread, it's awesome .

Dusted off the old "Hurtz Shifter" dig and gave it a new home, we'll see what happens from there .

The X-Trail Blazer, A.K.A. Orange Crush. It's also getting the wireless winch and some other needed attention.

Trying to divide my time between the flatbed Chevy (waiting on some materials yet), the Blaze and the TF2. Good thing the Dingo works .
