So I get up there quite a bit and am really hoping to hook up and do some crawling in conjunction with one of my trips!!

I don't have any scale rigs just doing comps right now, 1.9 and 2.2. Got a service buddy that lives in Appleton as well. I saw the fall and winter comp schedule on your forum and wondered if there was a posting with any upcoming comps this summer.

I got hooked up with a great bunch of guys here in Ia. They have there own website, IaROCK.org I've also attended a few comps in Omaha Neb, great bunch of guys there as well.

Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and if anyone has any info on comps this summer in your area I'd love to get in one.

Thanks

Mike

Once it gets warm outside we tend to play outside. About 20 min. west of Oshkosh is Redgranite, if we have any summer comps I'm sure we will have one there, but there isn't anything scheduled. The coarse at Oshkosh is always available for crawling during store hours if you're in the area and want to crawl.

COOL, thanks for the reply Super!!

I will keep my eye out for any outdoor events coming up.
I know I'll be in Fond Du Lac toward the end of July so I'll defiantly pop up to Oshkosh and take a look!!

Thanks again!!

Mike

I think there was still snow on the ground the last time I actually "comped" my rig .

Sumertime means outdoor play time, but if there's enough interest in an organized event I'm sure we can set something up. I'm a trail basher at heart, but comping can be fun too! Thanks for checking in .

So I get a knock on the door this morning, it's the Grand Chute P.D. After answering a bunch of questions, turns out I'm getting a citation for driving off without paying for gas...WTF??? I always pay at the pump, which won't work unless your card is approved. Now I have to get a CC statement to prove I paid . I hope the rest of the day goes better.

Did u git the gas thing figured out????

I always use my debit card to pay at the pump, so hopefully it'll show up on my bank statement. Till then I'm a hardened criminal roaming the streets.

A Redgranite day sounds like fun, what time ya'll headed up there?

I'll be there for sure. I plan on being there around 11-11:30.

Well I dunked my tuber at RG . It ran fine for about 15 min after. It started to wig out so I shut it off and went home. Tonight I was gonna take a look at it and see how bad it was. I turned it on and it burst into flames! Thinking quickly I grabbed a side cutters and cut the power wire (couldn't get to the battery). I thought I burnt up the battery. Turns out it was just the speed control that burned. Thankfully nothing else got wrecked. That's the second time I almost burned down the house. I need to find a safer hobby.

See sig below

That sucks at least it was only the esc not the whole rig. Wouldn't have gone for a swim if you weren't watching all the scenery

Is it too early to make plans for another run this coming weekend? Saturday is 50/50 for rain (but that could change), and Sunday looks promising
