Default Trail truck GTG? (re-post)

** I posted this in chitchat, but it might get lost there **

Has anyone given some thought about a trail truck get together? I think it'd be fun to get a bunch of us together for an afternoon of scale trail running. It's been awhile since we got a big group of us together for an outting with our non-comp rigs, just for fun. 1,000 Islands last summer was the last one I remember, which was a blast . Not sure how flexible I can be on days for the event, but if we can come up with a date that works for most people, I can sure as hell try! Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

I am in...

I don't have to much of an opinion on "where"

and as far as "when" let's just say "I can make it."

Cool, I figured you'd be up for it .

I'm hoping to hear from the rest of the group soon, so maybe we can nail something down. Day, time and location is up to the group, I'm just trying to get the conversation going .

I don't exactly have a trail truck, but I'd be interested in the GTG.

I'm glad you're all interested in doing this . I really suck at planning things, but if anyone wants to start tossing out ideas for when and where, have at it!

Some ideas:

High Cliff is good, $7 to get in w/o a season pass

Redgranite, kinda far for some but a great spot

Thousand Islands, awesome area but may be flooded

Feel free to toss out ideas, just tryin' to get the ball rollin'.

*I may need 2 weeks advance notice for time off, but I'll work that out.

I'm up for that! I don't really care where we go, as long as there are rocks.

High Cliff and Red Granite Quarry both sound good. For me, Sunday's don't usually work well, but I could probably swing a Friday or Saturday.

Sounds good! Trying to get a group of us together is kinda like trying to herd cats . Our club has a comp coming up, maybe we can set something up after that?

Scooter, talk to Kasper about your idea. He's our "Prez", and much better than me at setting things up .

OK, now it's time for the rest of you to speak up (if interested). I need input!

High Cliff State Park, I don't have their website at the momment, but Mapquest will get you there .

Redgranite, Wi. From the south, you'd take 41 north to Oshkosh and turn left on hwy. 21. Then it's 21 all the way to downtown Redgranite. It's an abandoned quarry, very cool place to crawl and bash.

That sounds like an awesome plan, everyone could help pitch in on the food, like 2 people split the cost of burgers and everyone else brings some other dish.

Been waitin' for you to jump in, Prez! I know you've been busy.

Yup, I'm open to any and all ideas . I'll leave all up to the group as to what will work for the most people.

Sounds like RG got the most votes so far. Now we just need to nail down a date.
