I'm in if I can get my truck rolling by then. Hopefully we'll come out of the deep freeze by then.

| Looks like I should be able to make it. Devils Lake is near Baraboo, about 5 miles south. Its known as Devils Lake State Park on the maps. I reserves a camp sight for me and the family the first week end in September. I know its early, but I'd like to plan a get-together. Later |

Is this an informal GTG or a comp? If so are Nylints ok? Don't laugh, its all I have and its what got me into crawling, I'm in the early stages of building a clod/stick but it will most likely be early spring before completion. Troy |

Yeah our GTG's are kind of just a bunch of guys out to crawl. Your Nylint would be ok out there.

I just found out my step-dad's brother had a sweet cabin/weekend house right outside the park... sold it a few years ago...so he could buy into a place in Costa Rica or Belize (Rich people suck). My mom has pictures of it, his driveway was lined with quartzite rocks and a dry rock "creek" ran thru the front yard. Could have sit on the porch swing and crawled all day.

Yeah I've seen those houses. lol, me and Soya where driving around in his saturn the road got really rough we went over a hill and scratched the hell out of the bottom of his car. It was like off roading in a lowered saturn. Need less to say we end up on the tumbled rocks trail by a few cabins. |

Once, I get to the park I'll stope out the good camp sites. Any local Rockford people want to crawl this Sunday at rock cut?

My family has been going to Devil's Lake for vacation for over 20 years. I was just there a year or two ago.....but I didn't have a crawler then. If I go on the trip this year, I will definitely bring mine. I have a bunch of cool pictures from the flooding when I was there.....I'll have to post some up when I get home. |

Yeah Devils Lake is the king of rock places in the midwest I guess. I have not found anyplace similar that would let normal people free roam around the park. Where is that guy with the TLT that came last time? He lives like 5 mins away from the park so maybe he can give us some rock reports. |

Come out to my spot some time. Josh says he is going again. We will see how it turns out. Lofty something right. Some guy came into the LHS buying brass tube to make a tuber with. Hopefully he becomes a crawler not a basher. |
