| Mosquito-Run-Grant Park
Myself & Modean74 went to Grant Park yesterday for some driving time. We both brought our Trail rigs & comp crawlers... Never even took the Comp crawler out of our bags. Mosquito's were so F*#%ing bad it was nut's. We had Off that we applied a couple times, There were swarms around us. The heat was an added bonus... I had sweat coming off my arms & hands... Shirt was stuck to me. Believe it or not we still had a good time... Only managed to snap couple pictures before the Mosquitos put me into a frenzy. |

Lookin' good . The skeets eventually chased me and Super away last time we were out for a night run at the cliffs.

I still need to get to Grant Park. It actually looks even better for trail trucking than I was thinking it was. Which parking lot there gets you closest to the trail you use?

Grant Park is awesome for Trail trucken... the first lot on the left when you enter. The main trail is called 7 bridges. The whole area is cool. Next time you should come w/us. |

Those pics made my Fail King look better then it is. I am not impressed with its comp qualities but as a trail truck, not bad.

Nice pics Tom...our group down here has been wanting to get up to 7 Bridges since our last time earlier this summer. I feel your pain with the mosquitos...we were down at Petrifying Springs park a couple weekends ago and you are correct...the heat had us sweating fast...and repeated applications of OFF seemed to only slightly slow down the winged beasts. I'm PMing you my cell number...keep us in mind the next time you're making plans for a trail-minded outing at either Grant or Pets. |

Let's see if we can get a tentative plan going for Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoon this upcoming weekend...Oct 2nd or 3rd. I know my wife has to work both days...but she is home by 4:30 on Saturday and 2:30 on Sunday. We're planning a rummage sale during the earlier hours...so that only leaves the afternoon. Let's keep an eye on the weather and see what everybody has to say? |

Either is fine with me. I'm just about right in the middle of those, but if you want to do Pets, since it's right in town for you guys, that's great.

Alright...as it turns out...Pets works better for a couple of people in our group. I'd like to get out to the trails on the north side of Hwy A...but that access road has been shut down for the year. I'm open to parking in the lot nearest to the entrance on Hwy A and walking across the street to the access trail on the North side. |

What time, Matt? I know the park pretty well, so I'm sure I could find you if I end up being late.
