Crawler comps are alot like any RC racing program, there's more waiting for your turn than actual "wheel time". Some people are disappointed by that fact. Having said that, it really is fun to see how far you can push your rig (and driving skills). The upside is that you get to hang out with some really good people who are also rc-addicted |

That is one of the biggest reasons why crawling appealed to me! My favorite part of the hobby was always watching others do it, talking about set-ups and driving strategies, wrenching in the pits, etc. The actual driving part of it was just a chaotic mess sometimes! Crawling looks like a lot more fun to watch, because it's far easier to see what line someone is taking when they are crawling, rather than going balls out around a parking lot sized track. |

I think you hit it on the head, Skittlebrau. You will have a good time crawling with our group.

If you, or anyone else here has a trail/scaler type truck, you'll have to hook up with us when warmer weather hits. We usually find a cool spot to run and make a day of it . I just got back into racing after a 3 year break (short course dirt offroad) and comp during the winter months just to keep my sanity |

Welcome Keith . We have a few Wraith pilots in our group also. Check back often on the board when the weather warms up, maybe we can take a run together. High Cliff State Park is the local favorite stomping ground.

Ya know........ I was all happy and content having no interest in scalers or trail trucks. Now after seeing pics like the ones above, I wanna go exploring around back in 9 Mile (Rib Mtn.) and see if I can stumble upon any spots like these, only I don't have a trail truck! Oh well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt much to go for a walk anyways. Great pics, thanks for sharing. |

There's a reason why I have one crawler and like five or six trail trucks! Great looking rigs, post up more pics if you like .

Just moved to Madison from Oregon state (crawling paradise!). Looking for places to crawl locally, can't commute too much with my hectic schedule.
