Best foam for Wisconsins weather

Was wondering what the best foams to use in WI was. Read that memory foam is not really suited for cold weather. As we all know it gets a little chilly up here. Also would I go with a normal 2.2 size or the 2.2 oversized foams. Right now the foams in the stock Venom Creeper tires sucks big time. They don't fill the tires at all.

This is one of those questions that if you ask 10 people you will get 12 answers.

So... this is what i am going to tell you, I run HB Rovers (blue dot), I use the stock foams with a set of 2.2 stadium truck foams. It all depends on how heavy your truck is and the type of tire you're using. You want the tire to compress but you don't want it to roll under itself when side hilling.

Hopefully you will get 11 more answers. Someone has got to be able to answer this better than me.

I hope I didn't confuse you too much.;-)

Not too much. Right now thinking bout HB Rovers (white dot) with a set of Nova Double Deuce 5.5" tall foams. Was more wondering what others were running and their thoughts on memory foams.

I don't think many people around here are running memory foams. White dot are a good choice, that's what most are running, maybe Kasper will step in. He has a better grasp on the foam thing.

i run white dots and sedonas depending on course with nova foams as you described i personally do not run memory foams but that all depends on setup of your rig.Memory foams dont return quick enough for my liking but then again i know nut ing.

Well so far it's almost stock, cept the stage 2 suspension set up & 3oz in each wheel. Battery is on the back upper links to lower the weight. Right now still running nimh, as I need to update a few items.

I have cheap a few split pack 7 cell and 8 cell and carbon plate for front axle if interested let me know this upgrade from what you have will make a difference in climbs and side hilling

Wicked Klown 09-09-2010 05:10 PM

Will the 8 cell fit on the front axle of the creeper. I know I made a saddle pack with my 12 year old pack and the batteries are too big. The wheels touched them when turning.

If you use 2/3-A size cells, they should be ok. Thats what I run on my AX10, front axle mounted.

I ran them o9n myax10 no issues.
