Default Hill Climb comp.

Is there any rc hill climb comps? If not would anyone be interested in doing it. Thinking about building a rig for fast hill climbs and cant find anything on the subject.

I haven't heard of anyone doing it, but with all the bluffs on the lakeshore, it could have some viability.

Where in WI are you located?

First off, welcome to the addiction! GB isn't too far away from our group here in the Fox Valley. There's a bunch of us with crawlers and scalers in this area.

So, what kind of rig are we talking about for hill climbs? Rock racer? Tough truck? Scaler 1.9 or 2.2? Sounds interesting. A few of us run our scale rigs on all types of terrain, including dirt, trail, water and rock.

As far as a hill climb comp, we haven't done anything organized. The closest we come to that is fun runs where "follow the leader" involves crawling or driving up anything that looks challenging. Most of our scalers have enough wheelspeed to make hill climbs fun .

Welcome to the site caution2, I'm kined-of new too, well! I am more of a reader than poster. Any way I was thinking the same thing a long time ago, but I don't know much about good spots here in Green Bay. I have a gas bug (RC10GT) that I was using for that purpose "hillclimb" here is one spot I usto go to.

btw; I'm from Green Bay as well.

High Cliff State Park is an awesome place to run also. Kinda late in the season now, but during the warmer months a few of us are there regularly. From the upper level beyond the cliffs and rocks, it's all hill leading down to the lake. Lots of trails .

Sounds like my kined of thing

I went there a cople of time but I didn't get to see no one with their RC, so I headed back home.

Does anybody does wheeling with the big toys here? It'll be cool to bring along the RC as well for this Winter.

For 1:1 wheeling, McCaslin Mountain is the place to go. It's not far from "The Pipeline", very cool! Google McCaslin for location and directions.

Black Friday crawl, I'm there .

Thanks for the heads up, but wasn't that place close for good? So I read in some Jeep thread.

Pipeline sounds good to me, never been there tho. I hope, I have better luck this winter or maybe next summer.

Still I would love to do both things in the same day ( saw that on a Axial thread ), that's awesome.

Sadly, the only trucks that belong to me in those pics are the rc's. Someday I'd like to build a real trail truck, but it's not in the cards right now.
