Default Building my dad a rig

for his birthday. Starting with my old Creeper chassis and axles. Ordered a replacement axle as a tab broke off. Going to use a CC Sidewinder, CC Bec, TowerPro 995, 55t Integy V10 may order a 35t Integy Lathe motor. Also ordered 4 Cougar tires, RC4WD 2channel 2.4GHz remote, Crowd Pleazer body, Castle Link, deans, bullets. Going to use high clearance links in the rear and creeper links in the front. Stampede shafts with metal yokes. If he likes it I'll later order the metal c-hubs, knuckles and lockouts. Going to the comp on March 18th and get there early so he can play alittle bit. Going to start him off with a NiMH 3600mah battery before I order a lipo charger.

Sounds like a great gift and a nice project. We could always use another crawler guy, hope he likes it when it's done .

Well my dads not want ya want to call close. He lives in Ohio and comes up once or twice a year. Kinda nice when a 68year old rolls up in his tweaked 91 Silverado lowrider. Even better when he drag races a kid beats him then rolls down the tinted windows so they see they were beat by an old man.

OK so I pulled the trigger and ordered a 35t Integy Lathe motor, also ordered a lipo charger, and a 35c 3s 1300mah lipo.

Good choice. I think he'll be a lot more interested with a 35T in there. 55T is so 2009. ;)

Well got my CC Sidewinder V2, CC BEC, new axle, Crowd Pleazer body. Well today I ordered a new Crowd Pleazer body as I messed it all the heck up. Used Pectra spray paint and all was well til I used the Pectra spring window tint. It bleed through the metallic blue and ran. Tried to fix it with no luck what so ever. Still waiting on my remote and CC link from RC4WD, shipped the 19th and it's still not here.

Hey Wicked Clown, if you can cancel that CP body order, I've got a brand new Grappler 2.2 body sitting in the basement. Pay shipping and it's yours, since I love seeing people do builds for family.

I don't think I can with CKRC as the option never shows up and e-mails can be slow with them.

Hey MrNate,
I havenīt met you yet but I want to replace the body on by wheely king sportsman rig (the rig that T'dawg is afraid of). If you want to get rid of that body cheap I would be very interested in it.

Yeah, I placed one order with CKRC and remember the CS being less than stellar.

Sent you a pm, stolps.

I replaced the bent tie rod today. Sits just a hair under 2 1/4" of GC and axles are perfectly straight no angle what so ever.

I'll be at HTO about 4pm on the 18th. I won't be able to comp tho as it starts at 7 and runs for a few hours, plus the hour drive home. When my dad is here his body is still on EST.

Hey Wicked,

Looks like those top shock mounts in the front are going to bind some when flexing. Other than that it looks great, can't wait to see you out on the 18th.
