I am going to be about 45-50 minutes away from the Dells of Eau Claire all next week. Is it worth the drive? Do you guys usually hit the rocks along the river or run the hiking trails? I have seen some of T-dawgs pics of really nice rock by a bridge a couple years ago. Is that the extent of the area? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

If you're coming from the campground/park area, take a right at the water. Follow the trail leading under the bridge. The rocks you saw are most likely under water since the river was quite low at the time. We never explored much beyond that area, but a few locals say there's more beyond that point.

sent you a pm wouldn't mind going and I can show you around too, the best place to park is the west side of county Y in the odd shaped lot on the map or to the west more a small lot that's not on the map. Oh and brig the bug spray they're nasty out there.

Thanks Brian for showing me around the dells.... the Area is pretty sweet. Too bad that our junk didn't hold up better. It is very easy to spend a day there on the trails around the river. I'll be back sometime soon. Sorry everyone, no pics.

What day are you thinking? I was thinking about going to road america for vintage weekend but now would be a good time to change my mind and do some crawling.

Stolps if you're still thinking about coming, or anybody else, here is the plan. Saturday morning we should be at the Chute Pond dam by 11:30ish.

After the parade tonight in Elkhart, I was convinced to go to the races tomorrow. I got my wrist band already, leaving at 8. Sorry.

Even with all of the things that tried to stop us from going crawling Saturday I'm glad we went, beautiful day no bugs and very relaxing. It was just too short of a day though.
