Default Please read this long-ass post!

After finding out today that neither Bob or Jesse even knew we were comping, it's obvious we need to do a better job of getting the word out. A few of us had a chat after the comp about it and it was also agreed that HTO could at least mention the crawler course on their Revolution Raceway website. There isn't anything downstairs at the store that even says there's a crawler course upstairs! Bob isn't happy that we're not generating enough in sales, but where's his part in promoting the course? WTF! At least we post up here on RCC. No mention anywhere on the HTO websites...anywhere! No signs anywhere! We need to stop being a secret.

Also, we will supposedly be moving to the other side of the upstairs if/when the other track is gone. Not the open spot we thought we were getting. That will be set up for Fantasy Gaming ("The Gathering" card thingy). Another delay in expanding our layout to hopefully include more trail truck features. As of right now, we're kind of cramped and limited for space to set up multiple courses.

I had a great time today, it's not all doom and gloom. But sometimes I just want to F'n SCREAM! Not bringing in enough money, but doing nothing to promote/advertise us? Another delay of getting the extra space promised months ago? OK, I need a big bong hit or something....all this BS is pissin' me off.

>Rant >over.

IMHO I've never cared for the way Bob "supports us" ...

Kasper and ____________(enter name here) have poured alot of cash into the course not to mention all of us that put time into the build... When I heard he wanted $5 to run on the course that I helped build... EFFF HIM!
Especially when we just got done with it, I can understand maybe down the road...

AND WE ARE GETTING BUMPED FOR MAGIC CARD PLAYING... WTF!?

I personally wish the club could raise enough funds to rent somewhere or something... Too much $$ though I know...

Theres my .02 Traildawg, I'm with ya.

It said alot to me when Northern was willing to give Kasper all those gift cert. for the comps, when most of us are only there a few times a year at most...

I recieved a PM from another RCC member about another area (NE WI) hobby shop that is looking to get into crawling, and maybe add a rock pile for comps...

I agree with both of you on the lack of support. It could be a win/win situation, but WiRCRC can't do all the work, we need the store owner to ATLEAST help promote rock crawling and the indoor course. Let's not tell anyone about it, then point out that it isn't making any money. I'm a High Skool dropout, and even I can figure it out!

What other hobby shop, what city. Would love to not have to drive around that dam lake.

N.E.W Hobby in GB, I've never been there, but I've heard good things.

reddevildemo (Darin) is who told me, I told him to post it up here in the WI section... Maybe he just hasn't got to it yet?

I think he is scared, I've mentioned in some of his build threads to post up in OUR WI section... (J/K man)

I don't know if any of you have seen his builds, but they are very impressive!

(sorry Darin I spilled the beans...)

I think any more support is always welcome!

Thoughts...?

I've been in there I don't think they even carry any rc/ crawler stuff. Yea that building is packed. I thought I had reddevildemo talked into coming to our end of year bash last spring or was it Christmas I don't remember.

I don't see an eviction notice from HTO coming anytime soon, but it's always nice to have options. I'd like to see us stay where we're at and hopefully expand the course to something truely awesome.....but hey, that's just my 2 cents worth. It's good to have a "Plan B" just in case.

Just to be clear to all of you lurkers out there that read but don't post...

Everyone in the WiRCRC appreciates the fact that we have a Indoor area to do comps and practice @ HTO.
(as should anyone else that uses it)
There were many hours and many $'s put into the buid of the course.
It was built to have FUN & for our passion/addiction to crawling.
We all need to remember that...

The opinions I stated are just that opinions....

That being said, there are obviously issues that need to be ironed out...

I'm done with that topic here.

I re-did the comp listing so it stands out a bit more, I will get it printed at Kinkos so it is in color. Bob told Chris that no one notices the black and white sign but they do see the flashy ones.
