Hey sorry everyone for getting in here late as usual. NEW hobby talked to me about RC stuff. They want to get into it some how and are leaning towards the crawling/scale side (several other local tracks to compete with for racing) as no one else up here deals with it. They are just getting going on re-doing the store. It is a Mom and Pop place that I have been going to for almost 20 years. One of the owners passed last year and now the son is taking over (younger blood always helps). I have told him about this site and the WiRCRC as well as several other sites to check out. With them just starting, I suggested Axial and Losi for starters in the crawler area. Those seam to be the biggest off the shelf crawlers right now. He did mention that he would be interested in doing something with comps in the future ( thinking next summer/fall time frame) and wanted to know about a rock pile in the store. I told him it was a great idea for demo purposes and tuning for local guys. Maxximus gave me Kaspers info and once I get more info I will for sure pass it on. Yes, I know I was going to try and make it to one of the events, sorry I missed it. I do want to, just too busy these days to actually get out and use one of the rigs. Thanks again and sorry to clutter this up with more Chit Chat. | |

The Minnesota guys are trying to plan a trip over for the Jan. 28th comp at Hobby Town. Go over to the Minn board to get in on the chatter. Hope this isn't considered chit chat |

Okay, I'm strongly considering coming out on Nov. 26th...... Never comp'd, and haven't been in an organized race since the mid-80's. Obviously, got some Q's, Do I need to be a member of WiRCRC to run with you? Or are these kinda "closed" comps? (don't know if you have a points run going that really gets skewed with people either entering midseason or only running occasionally) What do I need to bring as far as dinero? Fee for running on the track? Entry/reg. fees? Club membership? The wife's thinkin' she might dump me off and go shopping or something. How much before three do I need to be there, and is there a somewhat set time these things generally end? Anything else I might need to know before I get there? |

You dont have to be a member, comps are open $7 per class and few for parts and whatever you may need and end time is around 7 or 8.

Just do it, you'll have fun . WiRCRC is great club, I always have a good time whether I win or lose. We don't take things too seriously, after all, no matter how much it costs it's still a toy truck . We try to get things rolling at 3, but if you'd like to get there a little earlier you could take a test drive on the course or just have time to test and tune if needed. | I beleave we had agreed that we would have members supply food at our comps thru the season, I don't see anyone stepping up to supply the eats, and I am wondering if this is a sign of things to come. Walter supplied pizza for the comp at kaspers, I had food at HT last month. How about another member does their fair share for saturday the 26th. |
