I have one, but no super drivers in my area anymore. They all migrated down south part of the state.

Because Patrick does not agree with the 18" max rule. He is rallying the troops to get it changed. Which is all well and good, but he must not realize that the 18" max passed by nearly 3 to 1 over a larger Max number.

I think the biggest issue here is that we have to make another tech stick with 16" and 18" measurements on it.

hey guys, i urge you to at least re-address this new super rule. at the very least discuss the input from other super drivers. i will be more than happy to change things up with my rig if need be but, i think 18"max is alittle short. i could not compete with my current setup when this rule is in place. i think there are more than a few supers that are 18+ inches. i am not lobbying for a mile ,only a 1/2". thanks in advance for your consideration.

X2... IF nothing else but to allow the club reps a chance to find out what the competitors they represent think before casting a vote to completely change a classes requirements.

If you look at the list there are a lot of big-time super class drivers on there

Thats the way Rules Committee is always suppose to work. If they didn't check with their clubs before voting then it maybe time for them to get a new rep

i am aware these are some top notch drivers. i only wanted my opinion to be noted. i am new to supers and just got mine dialed in. if a change is in order i respect that . i know the rules are made to advance the class , not hinder it. i also respect the knowledge of this group; i want trying to complain. just wanted some consideration.

I don't know but I count a close tie of non super clubs vs super clubs. I see a couple that cover the same area.

And your right I am trying to rally the troops to change it. And if it can't be changed I think it's bull.

I'm not sure this rule will help a class to is already hurting . I think if anything a min. of 16" with no Max wouldbe the best and work for more people . just my 2 cents

Hey Badd;

The 16+ rules would work well for the people that run Supers now. But in an attempt to get some of the people back to Supers a Max length restriction is appropriate.

Someone that can drive a 19" Super well should do fine with an 18". But having a wheelbase max/min may make the class more inviting to other drivers.

As long as everyone has similar spec, the class will be perceived as fair. With no restriction, it appeared to be a contest to see who could build the longest truck that still steered ok. This statement is not meant to discredit current super drivers, but all the good guys know they will continue doing well.

I love the Super Class and look forward to it coming back. Hopefully the fact that the Super rules are being discussed will spark greater interest.

Patrick (AKA 666)

The class is not doing well in my area. Part of that is our terrain. Having trucks that are a touch shorter will help us here. Something needed to be done, and the rules committee has done so (min wheel size and WB restriction). Hopefully this season will prove that this is the correct way to proceed.

PS I do drive a Super!!!

I think one guy in our club has one, but that"s about it. 1.9 will be taking over super for us in our club. Plus we are in Michigan the state of field rocks and slab concrete

Having the same conversation in 2 threads is getting old

Your assuming that clubs that don't run Supers voted.....what if you found out the people who voted were from clubs that actually ran Supers.

It would ...pardon the pun....blow your theory all to hell
