| Crawl-Off Scoring???
My question is in the USRCCA rules there is nothing mentioned about how the Crawl-Offs are supposed to be scored. Are the scores from the crawl-off supposed to be added to the scores of the first 3 courses to decide the winner or should the first 3 scores be thrown out and then just the crawl-off's scores determine the winner? Personally I believe the crawl-off scores should be added to the first 3 scores. If not, there really isn't any reason to try to be first after the first 3 courses. Can someone tell me how the USRCCA would score this or are crawl-off's not even required by the USRCCA? We are trying to keep our comps as much like a National Comp as possible so I need clarification. Thanks. |

There is no "crawl off". There is a finals course. Those who run the finals course are scored on it just like any other course. Those that don't get to run it get 50 points, just like any other course they did not start.

Do you only allow a certain number of drivers to run the final course? Like the top 5?

correct most events are top five, some are top 6. Other events have even done stuff like everyone runs 3 courses, then top 15 run another, then top 5 run a final. |

So would the winner be decided on the Final Course only or the cumulative total of all the courses?

Any reason why USRCCA doesn't address this in their rules?

Thanks Jason. We're still new at holding comps and just trying to run things like they would be run at a national comp with the same rules.
