New indoor Rc track & crawler course

In Cheyenne Wyoming starting on Sept 1st 2012, thetopspotrc.com will be opening up. It will be 4920 sq ft of RC fun, there will be on road carpet, off road carpet, drifting, oval racing and we will have an indoor crawler course. Plz check out the website and check out the schedule to see what is coming up. If there is enough interest we will try to find time to have the micro heli and micro planes come in to have a fly in.

On September 1st from 11am-2pm we are going to have hamburgers and hotdogs with Pepsi products to drink, so come have lunch check out the building and maybe do some offroad racing in the afternoon. Hopefuly the crawler course will be done so we can do some indoor crawling also , I will keep you informed though. More to add, plz checkout the upcoming events to see what events are coming up

Thanks for that, we are going to start the build of the crawler course tomorrow the 8/26 at 9am. Going to try like heck to have everything up and going for the first, 6-7 people working on it, so bring your stuff but dont count on it 100%, as soon as it is done I will let you know here. Today started the build on the racers driver stand 30 ft long 4ft tall, tomorrow will be done with it, then laying the carpet, buiding jumps, putting the timing system in, oh yeah building the crawler course
The plan is for it to be 10ft wide by like 37ft long, or half that, if we have enough material to do the whole thing we will. I am one for doing what is best for you guys, so if we can make a awesome half crawler course vs a halfass full course, half it is. But as soon as we could do the whole thing "top" we will. On the first we will have hamburgers and hotdogs so come check it out. will have drawings from Hobbytown USA giftcards, an Animus and hopefully some other stuff.

heres some pics of the course so far. we are building it so it is expandable when we are ready for more. tomorrow we are going to finish the framing and start covering. we will have the rocks moved in soon.





3 levels of crawling. the concave area is going to be a waterfall that you crawl behind. it will actually be 2 waterfalls and a small stream.



looking down the coal mine. the tunnel is going to be fully enclosed and painted black. with a few string lights hanging to give the look of a mine shaft.

about 80% done on the crawler course. need some more smaller rocks to finish it up but it is driveable which is the main part.

Is the indoor track and crawler course still open?? Their web site is no longer available, and when I drove by today there was no one around. Last I knew they were moving the crawler course outside, but it is still sitting outside in pieces. What a shame if it is closed. Would have been nice to have someplace local to have crawler comps and road course/oval races. Ft. Collins is too far to be a convenient place to do that. I guess I will have to postpone upgrading my Wraith, as well as finishing my Vintage Trans-Am racer until there is a local venue.

The course has moved to the outdoor race track on converse, as soon as it gets nicer outside we will build it up and have comps every Saturday, it should be pretty sweet and lots of fun... I'll try and keep you posted
