Looks nice. I'd be worried about the strength of the link mounts though.

i am waiting for the UPS dude right now ordered a couple hundred steel bushings the other day to be used for 4 link mounts...shock mounts..radio tray gonna have all of them mounted in double sheer..i am making triangulated sub assemblies for 4-link upper mounts did a quick mock up of the chassis while waiting to see where exactly i wanted mounts and etc. ****camera on its last leg**** ![]() added a uhmw plastic skid..which will be notched and tapered later to move lower links inboard lost some clearance and track width going with the axial narrow wheels ..so added wheel wideners..trying two different ones got the track back to 15 1/2" with the narrower ones(front) rear ended up too wide..16 1/2"..I'l keep them for another project with the lower links "temp" stuck into body mount holes 4" approx ended up with exactly 18" wheelbase..seems a little long but i like it gonna loose a bit ![]() the shocks are also gonna get moved to a more upright position in front shocks are hpi super savage singles HUGE !! have some internal springs also but not installed yet thinking bout "free droop and winching down" in pic still got almost an inch of droop GOTTA GO UPS IS HERE!!! doesnt weigh much either..weight as pic(with thick body panels) 8.5oz!! if anyone stops and figures it out 1/10 scale 1/8 rod=1 1/4 and the 5/32 = 1 1/2.. also it bends around a "correct" radius ive been a pipe fitter/fabricaror in heavy industry for almost 20 yrs also did a bunch of work on my friends Pro-Mod camaro having bent thousands of feet of pipe and tubing having the wrong radius was driving me crazy so much so ...that your gonna see a blue star here within a couple of days..shhhh ![]() | |
