If your asking me, I didnt break mine yet so I'm not on the list. I'm still waiting for my motors, Holmes Hobbies have been on vacation since jan 6th, coincidently the day i ordered my motors and pinions..lol any day now..i hope. But it doesnt matter anyway because from the sounds of it, I'm going to snap my axles in 10 minutes and then be waiting months for new ones.. YAYYYYYY i cant wait..

Hey crawlman , i was reading your posts on global hobby forum ( i think its you ) , i have a new x crawler but i am in africa not australia ( home) and havent been able to put it together or try to brake an axle HA! My question to you is , did you ever find out which coloured crawler on the box was the new one with the updated axles? I have a yellow picture on the front of my box , so lets hope that yellow is the updated version.Good luck with gettin some axles and getting back on the rocks.

i just bought the beast did not put my electronics in yet, but i just read how cheap the axles are, some one said the upgraded version with stonger axles came in a yellow bodied box not the black box? is this true? also is it the gear that strips or the axle?

Hey kev , i read on another forum that there was supposedly a manufacturing change to the original axle to make it " much harder to brake". It was commented that the change happend co-incidentally as the picture changed colour on the front of the kit box. I am not sure as to which colour was the original and which gained the upgrade. I have the yellow box but have not been able to build or try yet . Thinking about machining my own if this raises it ugly head in my version/driving style/parts combo. I'll keep you all posted. x-crawler novak goat brushless x2 airtronics 94780m x 2 fut 3pk 6000mh max-amps saddle |

They look the same to me OK as for the pin there is a 19.99 dollor vise at habor freight its green the axel fits between the teeth of the vise and puts the axel right on the vise oprn the vise just enough to alow the pin to go through.... If it wasnt for the vise I would still be working on it. I dont know how the hell you could put the pins any other way As for screwz I used R/C screwz Kit form the axil I used to have there was just enough to cover me on that one ..... ![]() Took it out today one thing that is getting in the way is how the shocks are mounted to the links. Bad idea it catches everything you cant even go up a curb unless you go at an angle on it. so that will need to be fixed ASAP .

What need to be made is a 5 1/2 inch bottom bent links with a hole for the shock to mount so it dosent get cought on everything.
