Default Another NewbIe. i got a x crawler.

Hi all, im new to this forum but not to rc. ive ran nitro rc for about 7 years but wanted a vehicle thats easier to use and with longer run times. last week end i ordered a ''X Crawler" from hobby peep's. also i ordered (2) 55t integy lathe motors, (1) Novak Rooster crawler ESC. servos and other items needed im going to get from my lhs. i already have several 6 cell 3600mah batterys to power it. ive read through alot of great threads on this forum so thanks for that guys. soon ill order another novak rooster, 5-6 channel radio. any other items u think ill need?

thanks in advance.

For cheap insurance, I would get a CC BEC for each servo your runnin, helps keep the glich monster away. With the CCs you can program, w/ CC link, the output voltage to each servo. I have mine set to 6.0 volts constant. Hope this helps.

I got rid of the glich monsters by simply changing my radio to a spectrum.

cool thanks for the info guys . my buddy at the same time as me got the integy irock crawler so we hope to be crawlin' by next week. how do you think the x crawler will be against the integy irock? we both have been versing eachother with rc's for the last 7 years and both have about the same experiance level.

Default x vs irock

i have a first hand experiance in this, my buddy has the irock and mine can go places his cant, and he's a better driver. imho the irock is built weak top to bottom, comes with bad tires, radio gear glitches like there's no tomarrow, the esc's braking system sucks and gear way too high.
