Default i found a fix for the week inner axle gears!

a few days ago i fixed my inner axle gears which are made of mild steel and coated with black oxide (bluing). it involves removing them from the vehicle, pressing or punching out the small gear, cleaning the gears with acetone, soaking the gears in a solution of 50% hydrogen peroxide and 50% vinager for 30min to remove the bluing. next remove the gears from the solution, wash with soapy water, dry, clean with acetone again then using "dual shield wire" and a person that is a GOOD tig welder weld the back side of the gear only. sand flush and make sure the weld didnt weep into the shaft hole. if it did you could dill the side where you welded. now recoat with bluing or paint with primer then rustolium black but dont get paint on the teeth and reinstall with plenty of grease. for grease i used white lithium grease.

another thing i noticed is that the shaft seems week. i was thinking of getting a hardened steel shaft and cet to length. i hope this helps

it just seems dumb that a guy should have to manufacture his own gear because they factory did not and seems will not fix it. Kudos for your fix

Thanks alot!

i agree with you on the dumbfulness of the desingers .

some servo gears are pressed together like the inner axle gears but they have alot less torque.
