| Picked one up....
Alright i picked up an xtm crawler at a hobby store in florida that was trying to get rid of it, i got a decent deal on it. Its all new $600 got me the crawler, 2 400+ oz airtronics servos, a 5000 mah nimh battery, and two novak crawler and motor combo kits. So on amain hobbies or tower hobbies, the crawler for $300, the battery $60, the esc's $220, and the servos $250 so sepratly it would cost me around $900. So i am on vacation so no pics right now, but i am planning on learning stick and throughing it on a spektrum DX6i so what do you guys think.

Hey, It looks like you got a great deal on everything. I thought of using two esc's, but opted for one instead with two lathe motors in parallel. I think it would be a very versatile setup. I was also thinking of using one servo HS7955TG and some sort of dig for the rear. Maybe one of holmes hobbies manly switches. Not sure yet though. Keep us posted with your build as it goes. The X-Crawler owners so far is a small group on here, but it's growing slowly Kev |

Well i have been busy getting my berg together, not much progress but i did pick up radio, and have deans plugs to set everything up... Yes that is a dx7, i decided to go with the dx7 since it easyer to program and can follow me a bit better... |

I am almost done, just need to clean up the wiring, mount a body and get some servo extensions, the controls are difficult to get used to for now. Here is the xtm next to my swx'd berg... Here is with an old hpi bug body... A flex shot plus a picture of the other body that has possiblities of being used... Let me know what you think about the crawler and what body i should use. |

Thanks for the replies, the hardest part so far is getting used to the controls. I havnt put any weight on anything yet, and by the weight it is now i dont know if i will need any but the first day on the rocks will show. I have a very small rock course in my back yard mainly for 2.2's that i will crawl on tommaro, so i will get some on rock pictures. | |

Looks good! That radio seems perfect for the job. Are you going to change out the receivers on your other rides so you can have one radio for all of them?? It seems like less stuff to fix and have batteries for.... Trying to decide if i'm going to go that route. You got a deal |

Well i went out and ran without a body , and here are some pic's After about 5 minutes of crawling i heard a very small *snap* and then i had only 3 wheel drive. It turns out the axle shaft end broke off , so that night i emailed glabalhobby and i got a return today, he said they would send some new axle shafts out . If all works out major props to there costomer service, oh and here is a pic. |

looking awesome!!! thats too bad having problems right off the bat like that. :-( thats cool that they are sending you a new axle but it makes me wonder how long the other one will last. when you got the x crawler did it come in a box with a pic of a black or a yellow x crawler on it? you must have gotten a truck with the mild steel axles that were supposed to be fixed by now. that is very good that they are standing by there product though like they did for me. |

It was the one with the black body on it, i know that one has some under par materials on it. I said in the email that i had broken an axle shaft, and which kit i had gotten and figured the gears would go out sooner rather than later so i asked if i could get some of those (i was willing to pay for those since i didnt have a recept) he responded with "what is your shipping address". I should get a reply tommaro, we will see what happens (crosses fingures).
