you drill out the pinions on the alxes. and the out put shafts on the tranny. you need to get a tmaxx brake disk and adapter so you have stopping power. you use a dremel on the out put shafts and gring out half of the bump stop and use drill bits on the axle sides NOTE:::: use a small drill bit and step up each drill size so you drill streight. you might have to cut the drive shafts unless you lengthen the wheel base. this is what im using on my twin engine x project that i have been working on for about 3 months . so it may work Good luck.

You can also use BFT or Savage pinion gears, they have the holes for the pins allready. The BFT pinion will go in with no mods but the Savage one you need to grind down a bit or it will rub on the diff.

whoa, a bft pinion matches up to the x-factor diff?

how about the diff itself? will a bft diff fit to x-factor axles?

i had my x-factor pinions turned down and machined to emaxx specs, but i think the stock x-factor pinion was 8mm.

a bft pinion will not work. it is helical cut and will not work with the x-f non helical ring gear.

I drilled out the pinion with a diamond tipped drill bit. I also drilled out the yoke of the E-Maxx shaft so it fit over the pinion shaft.
