| XF Hybird Carribean Catch.
This project started just under a year ago with my purchase of a X-Factor rolling chassis from some kid in the sticks in PA. It was pretty beat up. Every bolt was rusted, was held in by lock tite, and stripped off. I totally took everything off the truck I wanted, the axles and thats it. About a month later I saw the RCRockGear RockRaider chassis, and had to have one. I bought some links and custom behind the axle steering setup from a racer I know that does excellent work. The price for the links and steering was a bit more then I was wiling to pay for, but I never had the tools needed to make things, let alone the time, so I was happy to pay it. Everything sat for the truck for a good bit until about two months ago when I had some free time from school and work to build her. Everything went along very smoothly until I got to the driveshafts. The revo driveshafts tended to be a problem with the stock XF pinion and pede tranny. So after some sanding and superglue, everything was set for the truck. Im stilll working all the bugs out of the truck. My XTM 175 servos are going already after less then 5 runs outdoors. But overall Im very happy with the truck. Specs of Carrribean Catch Axles-XF Tires- Kongs Driveshafts- Revo's Chassis- RockRaider Links- Dev2k Steering Setup- Dev2k Servos- XTM 175's Tranny- Pede with gd600 built in. Motor- Integy Lathe ESC- Super Rooster Radio- Futaba 8channel FM Dig that scale effect? |

Looks sweet dude! If I had a shafty, I can't say I'd do much different! Great setup. What all do you plan on doing with that 8ch radio? I saw one problem with your rig though, so I fixed it in PS... ;) |

I was once proud of the CT sticker, but I have to buy some RCCrawler.com ones as well to add to the truck. Thanks for the comments. Winter time here in PA is a bitch to run anything though.

IMO we are a VERY different board, we are a bit more "hardcore", more tech oriented, and we build and run rigs. We laugh at show trucks. In MY opinion, that makes us a better board, because it agrees with my ideals, not because they have a bad board. | |

Both boards have the highs and lows, but serisouly people, its the god dam internet. No reason to argue over nothing.

I dont usually venture into the world of the shaftys but I gotta say I like that rig Yamaha. It looks sick. I remember seeing the one with the "scale" body over on CT. Nice werk. I wanna see video of the battle with Krod. |
