Well I decided on what tires that I'm going to use. They are going to be Imex Jumbo Swamp Kongs. Not sure on the wheels yet. I also decided on an esc. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...5817&rd=1&rd=1. I will go with black panels and an orange chassis as my colors. All comments are welcome.

The chassis will be a 1/4 inch brazed brackline chassis. It is going to be made to get into deep mud, water, trails, and comp crawling. The radio will be a TQ3 modded for rear steer. The esc is an LRP A.I. Runner Waterproof Esc. The motor will be a 55T Lathe motor. I will also be getting two Tower Pro 945 metal gear servos for the steering.

no you dont, you are always saying you cant get any brazing done without your dad there.

anyway, this looks like a very good start . IMHO if you have access to a welder, i'd weld the frame, its much quicker and much stronger than being brazed.

I've been ungrounded for a while now. I am very busy with my two Maxx's right now. My one I thought was running is haveing major electronic issues. The other Maxx I am trying to put back together to sell it as a roller. But it may take a while untill I get to work on this.

Well I got to get some things done tonight. I locked one of the diffs. I am just using epoxy to lock them. I also super glued the cracked diff case. I even got a Mamba Max esc with a 7700 motor. OH YEAH, MY FIRST BRUSLESS!!! I need to know, you don't need any certain radios for brushless stuff, do you? I ask this because I was planing on running a TQ3 and a Traxxas reciever.

Well I now only need to make a chssis and order some Jumbo Kongs (or any other 8 1/2 inch tall tire). I have some threaded Savage shocks on the way.

Specs as of now,
Mamba Max esc,
Mamba Max 7700 motor,
RC4WD R2 tranny,
HS-5645mg rear servo,
Hobbico CS-70 winch servo,
Revo driveshafts,
Threaded aluminum Savage shocks,
TQ3 transmiter,
and a Traxxas reciever.

I believe thats it. The servo winch is only to pull my cosins Nylint out of stuck positions. THIS IS GOING TO BE AN AWESOME BUILD!!!! (I hope) Please people post up wiht some seggustions.

Krystopher

i dont think a R2 is going to hold up to xfactor axles with swampkongs, you should go with an emaxx, twinforce, or R1 tranny. for steering if you have the stock servo keep it, major torque. you might also want to upgrade the rear servo.

sound like an awesome build, hope to see the chassis soon.

I have an all steel E-Maxx tranny if the R2 can't handle it. I do not have the stock servo. I think I might go with some HS-805bb 1/4 servos if it doese'nt hold up. Well see.

Well I have decided to go with an HS-805bb rear servo, and an HS-5995tg front servo. I am also going to run an all steel and aluminum E-Maxx tranny instead of the R2 I have. I am trying to make this thing indistructible because I am so sick of always working and never actually crawlin'.

So far it's,

Axles: $175
Tires: $16
Tranny: $240
Chassis as of now: $20
Brushless: $170
Remote/Reciever::?
Revo Shafts: $40
Rear Servo: $40
Pinion: $10
Batteries: $100

Total: $641

Still need,
Rear Servo: $118
Rest Of The Chassis: $40-$60

I also have an update. My father and I have started the chassis. We ran out of oxygen as we were starting the tranny mounts. My father is working 2-10 this week so we aren't going to get much time to work on it. But here are the pics.

I will be running in many types of terrain and verying rock sizes, hill climbs, mud, snow, and just some trail type terrain. They should (I hope) work well in this verying terrain. We also just got out of school for the summer, SO I will get as much wrenching time in as possible every day.
