It's been a while since I updated this forum. I now have the chassis very close to finished. The truck will have about a 22-30 inch wheel base!! How I have it mocked up in the pics it's got a 34 inch wheel base. This thing is going to be HUGE!! Here is an updated pic.

It is at this wheel base only because the axles were moving around as I was mocking it up. They wound up getting pushed in some. I have been out for more then a week!!!!

Doesn't matter what WB is at, that frame is still big.You made those XF axles look like TLT axles.

I am going to make it easier on myself and go with only front steering. I have to remake the link I made though, it was to narrow. I already have lockout towers/links made for the rear. I have to get some longer screws to finish the rear and front ends. I will also lock my rear end when I get the time. I have very little left to do to this. I have to get electronics hooked up and mounted, mount my tranny, paint the chassis, finish the chassis mounts and lock the rear axle. Then I will be on the rocks/mud/hills/trails!

I would love to stay inside all day and work on it but my parents have been hounding my butt to get out of the house.

Mostly, I overlook a critical error that fawks the chassis up, so its easier to make a new chassis.
Take your time and build it right the first time.

Thats the best thing to do. My dad and I just finished the chassis. Now I need to drill holes and paint it. I will post pics when it is painted.

Well I got all the drilling and cleaning finished. I then did the main coats of paint. It is Krylon X-Metals Purple backed with Red Oxcid Primer. In the pics it looks like a deep metalic red. I still have to get the inside of the chassis a little better and do a Kemalon Kolor Pearalesent coat that will make it change colors in the light a little bit. But here are the pics!!

Here are the colors I used.

Here is the chassis we are basing it off of. Not an exact replica but pretty close.

Well Joe finally decided to jump in and give me a hand with this build. Today Joe stopped by wondering if he could help with the build up. So I told him that would be great. So we got to work. Tonight we got the tranny mounted and the servo put back on. Here are the pics!

Fist Joe pulled up in his new rig,

Then he got the tranny in and ready to be bolted down,

In this pic he is getting all the screws in,

Then we put in the servo because I had to take it out to get the bracket in,

Here Joe is hooking up the steering,

Then Joe got ready to drive home,

Then a guy that we latter found out was named Bob pulled out in front of joe and broke something, and he didn't even try to get to the side of the road,

This made Joe very angry and after about 5 minutes of just sitting and waiting Joe toke action. I don't think he made the right choice of what to do,

More to come,
Krystopher

I haven't been very busy with this rig. Me and my father have all brazing finished, and all suspension is finished in the rear. Now I need to get into gear and finish it.

***FINALLY AN UPDATE!!!***

I finally have an update on this Monstrocity. I got it to the roller stage today. It has some issues and things to work out of it yet before I can run, but it is a roller. It has a 30 inch wheel base . The tires are just temperary until I find a set of Imex Jumbo Kongs. I need to possibly rethink the front shock mounts because it is very unstable. But here are the pics!!!

Full Flex

Front Axle

Rear Axle

Flex

I need to get more screws to bolt up my front shocks to the new mounting postions and make my driveshafts. Then it should be finished farely fast. I appreciate the compliment!! The thing is MASSIVE and thats putting it lightly. I will be getting high centered all the time. The only thing I need to order are some better and bigger tires.

Backwards it looks a lot like a atv frame.

I like to though, it just needs side panels and the bigger meats.
