Jeep Wrangler Wraith – Poison Spyder

Axial R/C Inc. is extremely pleased to announce the Axial Jeep® Wrangler Wraith-Poison Spyder Rock Racer. Based on a long standing relationship between Axial, Jeep® and Poison Spyder, this Jeep® Wrangler Wraith™ is the culmination of efforts between these three iconic off road lifestyle brands.

Ultra4 Racing combines the best of both off road racing worlds including high speed desert action and hard core rock racing. The Axial Jeep® Wrangler Wraith appeals to fans of this event series because it offers some of the same spectacular abilities. Featuring a full tubular chassis and a detailed interior just like the full size counterparts, the realism offered by this vehicle is second to none. The livery is a virtual replica of the amazing machine that the talented crew at Poison Spyder Racing have constructed just for the Ultra4 series.

Officially licensed Trail Ready HD Series beadlock wheels dressed in an aggressive all black style are easy to assemble and they work with most 2.2 tires. The hub design allows this wheel to mount to any Wraith, AX10 Ridgecrest or SCX10. Our IFD™ (Interchangeable Face Design) wheel system makes it easy to dress it up with a new look. Serrated wheel nuts provide plenty of bite to keep the wheel securely in place and they’re anodized blue for great looks!

Officially licensed BFGoodrich Krawler™ T/A® KX tires! In the full-size offroad world, they are the winner of more rock-crawling championships than all other tires combined (Race spec tire, Years 2004 through 2008). The Axial version captures the same aggressive look you’ve been waiting for.

Y does it still have the full roof. The real one doesn’t look like a wagon.Nice wheels and tires. I didn’t see any lights.

  • GBean says:

    Meh.
Call me when they decide to do a wraith cage that has an Ultra4 fastback cage with appropriate lights to match the real thing along with aluminum c-hubs, knuckles, and links…

All you get with this is a new-bodied Wraith with new-ish wheels MINUS the RTR light kit…

  • Man of Leisure says:

I was also a lil let down that the cage wasn’t a fastback:(

  • Natedog says:

Cage should be fastback like real one. Where’s the aluminum beadlock rings???

  • Crawlin4fun says:

I like it, Was debating a Wraith to add to the collection and this sealed the deal for me

  • Shaun says:

That looks great! Love the tires and the whole look. I’ll take one!

  • Yourfucknmama says:

Another regurgitated Axial product… It looks nothing like the 1:1 version..

Stop pumping out the same old crap, slapping a different body and tires on then calling it new….

  • Tomvaillencourt says:

How is this any different than a regular Wraith with a proline body?

  • Wraithcrawler says:

It sucks that for a new design, Axial doesn’t check clearance on front fenders. Tires rub and you lose over an inch of travel. Of course you have to trim the fenders back to the frame tubing. One would think they would figure out a solution for a rtr crawler. It obviously isn’t RTR. Once trimmed, it works nicely. Lots of loose screws in suspension, body frame, and undercarriage. Simple quality control would benefit their production.

Haha! So true! but you have to admit the RC is sweer regardless of the roll out line.

  • rjwaite1990 says:

I am new to rock crawling and my local hobby shop has priced 2 rc crawlers to me one was the axial wraith poison spyder for $375 out the door and the other was the axial trail honcho for $370 out the door which is a better deal? And which rc is better for a biginer?
