After being hard up for days looking for details about the new Axial EXO Terra Buggy we finally sent out our undercover correspondent to get us the details we’ve all been waiting for.  Armed with a badge into the 2011 SEMA Show and his trusty tape measure he was promptly kicked out of the first booth he found that had the EXO Terra Buggy displayed, seems they didn’t want to reveal the specs to us.  Not wanting to give up he tried the next booth and was able to get us the info we have been craving.

Axial has knocked it out of the park with this new release, the Axial EXO Terra Buggy.  Just days ago we published an article eluding to what we thought this vehicle might be.  As it turns out we weren’t too far off the mark.  With the SEMA show kicking off today Axial has teamed up with a number of companies to help release the new EXO Terra Buggy.

Tonight I got home from work and running errands and sat down in front of my computer to do some catching up on RCC.  I did my nightly rounds on all the sites, then like I always do I headed over to the Axial blog to see if maybe Brad has built something new or added any new tech.  To my surprise I see a new article about Racers Only Motorsports Designs

Now that I have had a week to really put the Wraith through its paces and take it apart and look things over a bit more closely, I thought it would be cool to do a part II to my original review.

I have had a lot of PM’s and emails asking me to cover the following topics;

Wednesday, May 18, 2011 we all woke to a frosty Yellowstone Park, cold enough that I stayed bundled in my sleeping bag for a few more hours holding my bladder back the entire time. We planned for another full day in the park and hit more of the sites trying to capture some of the “beautiful” morning light before the midday sun and flocks of tourists got on the roads.

2008, Patrick I tried to make it to Scale Nationals, we ended up breaking down outside of Rawlins, Wyoming and sitting on the roadside for 8 hours until a friend came and picked us up. I tried to get my Jeep fixed in time to make it, but I just couldn’t get it done on time. Fast forward to 2011, planning for the trip to Montana began earlier in the year. We planned to get Patrick (666), Danielle (Patrick’s girlfriend) Tim (tmyjeeper) and myself to split gas and some of the costs, as time went on we realized 4 people plus all our stuff wouldn’t fit into my little Subaru. Patrick and Danielle decided that renting a car and following Tim and I would work out best for everyone.

Before I begin my review, let me begin by explaining why I feel that I can give an honest review of the rig, even though it’s still unavailable to the public.

Firstly, I had the honor of attending the Montana Scale Nationals this past weekend, where PinchFlat and I judged courses for both Street class and Spec. Being that we were the first to offer our help with Spec, we requested to judge the Wraith course, and couldn’t have been happier when we were told that we would in fact be the judges for that course. As luck would have it, we also had the opportunity to setup the courses that these spec rigs would be running on. Read the rest of this entry »

For all those scale enthusiasts out there, RC4WD has released a 1.55 and 2.2 version of their Mickey Thompson Baja Claw TTC tire. The 1.9 version of the tire was released a few months ago. After the 1.9 version came out, the community wanted more. Some images released at a trade show a short time ago gave us a glimpse of these newer versions of the tire, but finally they are out!
