I was lucky enough to be invited down to Axial Racing HQ in Irvine, CA to drive Axial’s latest product, the YETI™ a 1/10th Scale Electric 4WD – RTR. After having a little pow wow in the boardroom one of the Axial minions (they all look the same to me wearing skinny jeans and baby T’s that would look like a belly shirt (cropped top, half shirt, midriff shirt, tummy top) on me) Continue reading
Written by Harley. Yesterday marked the first Goat Hill Scale challenge. This event really showcased what the KCRC (Kansas City Rock Crawlers) club can do. The Kansas City area is really stacked with some amazing talent, I’d put it against any club in the nation for the ability to put out some of the coolest trucks, media and products in RC crawling. I’m proud to be part of this club.
Follow along as Harley recaps his trip to the 2012 Axial Northwest Scale Championships.
Now that I have had a week to really put the Wraith through its paces and take it apart and look things over a bit more closely, I thought it would be cool to do a part II to my original review.

Before I begin my review, let me begin by explaining why I feel that I can give an honest review of the rig, even though it’s still unavailable to the public.
Firstly, I had the honor of attending the Montana Scale Nationals this past weekend, where PinchFlat and I judged courses for both Street class and Spec. Being that we were the first to offer our help with Spec, we requested to judge the Wraith course, and couldn’t have been happier when we were told that we would in fact be the judges for that course. As luck would have it, we also had the opportunity to setup the courses that these spec rigs would be running on. Continue reading

Team Axial driver Ryan Gerrish attended the Int’l Auto Show in Portland, Oregon this past weekend. Ryan and fellow northwest crawler Brett Carlson set-up a small Axial booth at the show to demo some SCX10 TR’s, and allow fellow show attendees to take the wheel of an SCX10. Ryan’s dashing good looks scored him a small spot on the local news. Thanks to Bulu Productions for making the video!!! Continue reading

A photo was taken at a 1:1 event (KOH) of Axial’s newest scale crawler and shortly after the new spread like wild fire on forums around the world. The new crawler appears to be a scale replica of a 1:1 crawler with a plastic molded cage and a full scale interior, new wider axles. It is rumored that it will be available in May 2011 and have price of $350 to $400 RTR.
