Well I'll start out by saying that Rock Crawl'en RC's Rock!!!!!! We come from the Buggy ranks of racing where we were serious contenders week end and week out so when we desided to put the buggy racing on the back burner to persue the RC Rock Crawlers we went at it first class. We are accustum to running good stuff but knew very lil about the crawlers when we started this adventure. We are starting with a 2.2 Axial AX10 Kit not RTR. Let me also say what started out as my Rock Crawler ended up becoming my 11 year old sons after the first day of crawl'en.
Anyway, several of the local crawlers were at the sight where we crawl and we desided to stop by Sat and see what was happnin. The Crawl was on big time!!! Our crawler was still on the work-bench waiting for our ESP and motor to arrive from CKRC, along with our Edge chassis and shocks from TCS. Well needless to say we left after just 15 min. of watching headed for the local hobby shop where we picked up a Rooster crawler ESP, intagy 55T motor, Eight shooter proline wheels with Losi rock claws and 2S lipo pack. We were back on the sight in just over an hour ready to get the crawl on. Keep in mind that crawl'en is new around here and is just being done for fun right now but we do have the rules we down loaded from the internet so we were scoring eachother. The lowest score was a 37 when we arrived back on the scene. My son (11) laid down a 13 the first time through the corse and all the guys went crazy watching that Axial go to work. It was great, we played all afternoon and my kid just loves the axial so much I just can't take it away so I ordered my oldest son (16) and myself one each this morning. The kid put it on them other guys Sat and I don't mean other kids i mean men and teens. They could not believe it. I was lov'en it, and turned out a score of 13 my first run as well. I have to give the credit to this sight completely. Because if I had not been able to follow the build post, setups and tons of videos watching associated with this sight I would have been lost. We put what we saw and learned here in the past few weeks to work and it worked out well. Thanks guys for getting use off on the right foot. This is a great sight with a ton of knowledgable folks and our first weekend out may not have turned out so well without you. Thanks
My stage 2 kit from CKRC arrived late yesterday via USPS and I installed it just after lunch and the easter egg hunt. LOL!!!!! Needless to say it works even better today than it did yesterday. We are here to stay."thumbsup""thumbsup"
