"The Flea" in the Boiler Room

Did you get soft, medium, or stiff spring for your droop setup?

Also, where did you get your metal steering links? I have been looking EVERYWHERE for some and really could use a set!

Sweet build and love the indoor course w/bridges8), that should keep you from loosing your mind during the winter.

Did you use Shoe Goo to make the bridges?

Thanks and so far I'm still sane...I think ;-)

I used hot glue, but if I were to do it again, yeah, I'd go with Shoe Goo. The hot glue gets brittle and a couple of the joints have broken.

TCS soft rate internal springs. They work for my set up, but if you're running a full size servo and/or substantial front weight bias, I'd suggest the medium rate droopies.

Are you happy with 80wt oil? Or would you recommend 90wt or 100wt? Where did you get your metal steering links?

So far the 80w is working well, but I may try 100w to see what the difference is.

The stainless links all came from Cody at CR/CC Designs...he does great work. I'm not sure what his order status is at present, but here's the link if you want to shoot him a PM

Nice rig man. I almost want to get one. Great job on the build, I like it a lot."thumbsup"

Thanks Carver...much appreciated!

I'm very pleased with the chassis, and Jerry's work. Everything is clean and very well done; bolt up was cake "thumbsup" I'd recommend DMG to anyone looking for a tube chassis.

I'm really anxious for Spring so I can get some "real world" testing in. The rocks I hauled into my house are great, but nothing takes the place of natural terrain.

Nice rig

I couldn't resist building up a tuber for my MRC, so a PM went off to DMG Jerry. Of course I need a spot to wheel it, and I'd go insane without crawling all winter; so I hauled some rocks into my basement. I plan on adding a bit more to the layout in the next few weeks, and I may replace the long stick bridge with a cable bridge.

This obsession with crawling actualy started about 3 1/2 years ago with a Hot Bodies Minizilla' that I was running on a small layout in the finished portion of our basement...somehow my wife was all good with that, so this set up wasn't even an issue. I don't think she realizes that it's going to be a permanent fixture though ;-)

Stealth look"thumbsup".....very clean set up.

Thank you! Black is always the new Black "thumbsup"

What offset are the Eritex rims you are using? I noticed that Gereme only sells TLT or Axial offset. I am trying to figure out the difference between the two.

I'm running the standard MRC offset, the wides add 1/2" to the overall track width. My goal from day one of this build was to keep the dimensions spot on with the stock truck.

I see a lot of guys running the G Made wideners or wide offset beadies, but I'm really looking forward to the challenge of trying to wheel this little rig along some of the same terrain that my 2.2 handles.

Just to clarify.....I want to buy a set of 1.9 rims from Eritex. When purchasing rims, you have a choice of TLT or Axial offset. You mentioned that you are running the standard MRC offset. Is that the same as the TLT offset or the Axial offset? Does Eritex make a MRC offset that is not offered online? I want to make sure I order the right rims. Thanks.

Anytime "thumbsup"

The Eritex beadies are worth every penny...I've never locked up tires so easily, the beads literaly dropped right into the rim.

You'll like em'
