When the hell is it a violation to accept Postal Money orders on Ebay? I had Super Blackfoot listed and with less than 24hrs left they cancelled the auction.WTF? I got a message stating I was in violation and my item was removed.I changed it and relisted it but WTF? I have accepted MO's in the past without any problems but now I can't accept them? Lets just see if they charge me for the origional listing fee. Sorry but I'm just venting

They can't help the seller/buyer when those are done.

Once again its them watching for scammers and helping the less knowledgable not get hurt. Of course that hurts the good buyers and sellers now too.

ebay owns paypal, if people pay you with paypal they make double the money, if people pay some other way they don't.

This is the actual reason.... not because they want to help people that get screwed. It's all about the $$$

I know they own Paypal and want to protect the buyers/sellers from scammers. Its all about the $$ though.
I may have missed it when I was listing the item but I didn't see anything about no MO's.Like I said I have accepted MO's in the past and stated that in my descriptions and never had any problems. They could at least contacted me and said you have X hours to fix or it will be removed.I had it listed for a week and at the end it was yanked.Plus it took them 4 hrs to list it. You would have thought that they were going over it to look for stuff like this before anyone would be able to view it.
Its just frustrating that I had a few bidders on it and right at the last minute it was yanked. Its relisted now, only took 30 seconds to fix and relist it.Now I have to wait ANOTHER week.Hopefully they won't find anything wrong and cancel it at the last minute again.

It seems they are really clamping down over there. Theres been several recent rule changes.

I noticed a vendor had posted in his ad the consiquences of not recieving a 5 star rating from a buyer. Apparently 4 stars is enough to get you in trouble, not to mention they charge them more fee's if all is not perfect.

Good luck getting a refund for your initial auction. I had a kind of similar situation where the winning bidder couldn't meet my payment terms and had to back out. As I understood the rules, I could file a greivance and relist within a certain amount of time without being charged again, which I did. And guess what, I got charged for both the original and the relist. After several emails back and forth to the management explaining how it wasn't my fault that the guy couldn't follow simple instructions, "most" of the duplicate charges were removed "this time".

And yes, eBay double dips via PayPal. Moreso than they used to. I don't know if I'll be selling anything there in the near future...

I don't/won't ever bother to shop fleebay.
There is nothing I need to buy or sell that bad, that I wanna get ripped off by those greedy fawkers.

I don't buy alot from there, but I do have a couple vendors that I like dealing with that have some killer bargain bins and don't charge stupid amounts for shipping.

It's actually they get discounts on some fees for higher ratings and it only affects power sellers not regular sellers.

They changed A LOT of stuff back in, I think, September. You might want to check up on the new fee system to since it's HUGE now. For RC stuff it's 12% for the first $50 of your final value and 8% after that PLUS the 3% paypal fee PLUS the listing fee.

Wow, I wasn't even aware of the MO rule change. I haven't used eBay in a couple years, but back when I was buying a lot of stuff, I always paid with a MO.

I just checked,Since it should sell for over $25 I get hit for 8.75% for the first $25 and then 3.75% for the remainder.Thats 12.25% they will get plus the $3.20 to list it and then the Paypal fee. I do believe that this is probably the last thing I will sell on Ebay. F#%K those greedy bastards!

I had items taken down at the last minute by Ebay:shock:

Paid outrageous sellers fees and miserable experiences with quite a few buyers..and sellers

DONE with EBAY!!!

ya i got my bill last month and was like WTF. went from a couple bucks to like 12%. think about those poor bastards that have a store on there how much they are getting charged 1000 for every 10000 purchesed? sheesh:shock:

One of us needs to check their math. Let's say you sell an item for $40.
$25X.0875=-2.19
$15X.0375=.56
$2.75 in final value fees, which is 6.875% of the selling price, not 12.25%

But yea, it sucks. I haven't bought or sold in a long time. I think it was about the time they screwed sellers on feedback.
